GLHT214RAQ3 Frigidaire Refrigerator - Instructions

The bulb has a plastic clear cover. That cover can just be carefully removed using a screwdriver. It's held in by a metal bracket. After you remove the cover. You'll just need to replace the bulb and then re-install the cover and bracket.

I watched the video on how to change the defrost thermostat. I removed the back cover inside the freezer then I pulled off the old defrost thermostat and then using a pair of wire cutters I cut it off and then bared a little of both of the wires and then slid the heat sherink and wire connectors on the existing wires and then slid the other ends of the wires into the wire connectors then crimped the ends of the connectors and then tried using heat on the heat shrinks but still used rubber electric tape over it. I clipped the new thermostat were the old one was and then reattached the freezer wall cover and plugged the refrigerator back in. 24 hours later I checked the temperature in the refrigerator and freezer and both are running a lot colder.

I watched You Tube on how to repair it the instructions that came were shit. I'm a stickler for wire colors being correct, could find that information in the instructions. Everything is on you tube I love you tube. The fix is is easy peasy. I'm not stupid eather there is nothing on that frig I could not repair if I can get parts even the compressor I can braze to. I know how it all works I never call repair people I will throw it all in the garbage if I can't get parts. That goes for TV's cars you name it. I have tools for all things.

Unplug, remove 2 screws off back panel inside the freezer. Cut wires on old one and crimped in new one. Light to melt the shrink wrap that came with it. Pretty easy.

The repair was not difficult because you just remove the old part and plug it in and connect two wires. But I wish there was a way to test if the compressor is working before I purchased the parts. The compressor would not start so I was not able to repair the refrigerator.

Removed the screws on the piece holding the switch which is at the front of the ceiling of the refrigerator box. Removed the old switch and replaced it. Very simple repair.

Simple instructions anyone should be able to do it.

Very easily did the repair -- popped the new door shelf right in the place of the old one! No tools needed, no hardware, easy! The part actually measured 24 3/4 but the replacement part said "26 inches" on website & this was THE replacement part. Put this off for so long--ordered part and recd within 2 days, great!

Piece of cake! The new part just plugged in to socket and back into fridge frame. Appreciated how easy it was to order this part.

I stuck a small screw driver under the old switch & it came out really easy. I just unplugged the 2 electrical connectors, and removed the old switch. Installing the new one was just as easy. I am a woman!

Opened the box, snapped it in place. Took longer to just open the box! I carefully inspected the part and compared to the original. I could not tell them apart. The fit and finish is perfect. This is a very well made product. Easy to order, fast shipping, well packaged and very easy to install.

Replacement was a snap! Literally! OK there were two snaps. One on each side.

unscrewed to little bolts and installed the new/metal part we got rfom partselect.If we may say.this is a great company to buy from! Fast!

I have rental property and tenants can be very rough on appliances. Parts Select has saved me so much money and aggravation, I love these guys!
As far as the repair goes just take out two screws and put the new handle on with two screws.
