FFHI2126LK0 Frigidaire Refrigerator - Instructions

The old gasket was dirty and old and it had ripped, so the fridge would no longer close. The new gasket came in and all we had to do was push it into the groves and make sure it was secure, and it was fixed. Saved me hundreds of dollars buying a new fridge.

Shut off water supply under the sink. Removed old valve and installed new valve. Turned water back on and within a couple hours the first batch of ice made.

The repair was fast and easy .I removed the ice tray , disconnected the wiring connector and lossend two screws. I removed ice maker assy.and repeated in reverse order to install. I also installed a new water filter. I had ice in about 20 minutes.

Very easily did the repair -- popped the new door shelf right in the place of the old one! No tools needed, no hardware, easy! The part actually measured 24 3/4 but the replacement part said "26 inches" on website & this was THE replacement part. Put this off for so long--ordered part and recd within 2 days, great!

I removed the two side mount screws with a screwdriver and disconnected the electrical plug to the ice maker to remove it. I reversed the process to install the new one.

It was the thermostat that was the problem, but I chose to replace the entire ice maker for only $25 more.

The repair itself total time was quick and easy. Since the original fan blade blew apart, it was only a matter of putting the new one on in it's place. This can be done by feeding the blade between the cowling and Condenser coil and applying pressure to get it on the shaft.

If your fan is still on the shaft, simply push it off and extract it the same way. Then place the new one on the shaft.

In my case, since the part would take a couple days to get, and I had food both in the fridge and the freezer, I removed and unplugged the Condenser Fan Motor and the cowling frame and temporarily spliced a small fan I had into the line for the condenser motor. This kept the fridge working long enough to get the replacement part.

Side note. Direction of airflow is towards the Compressor, and draws air across the Condenser coils.

I started look inside ,disconnected power, and open all possible compartments to see any burned part. Fortunately I fined a small part look like melted and then i went online and make my research .Then i ordered that part and change it.

Loosened the two mounting screws (no need to remove them), lift off the icemaker and unplug it. Reverse the order and done.

I can't believe I put if off so long... so easy to do and PartSelect was very fast, efficient, and the cheapest vendor for my part.

removed both the shelf retainer and shelf bin, replace with the new units ordered from partselet.com. the whole process from searching, ordering, shipping and installing was very easy... thanks for everything

I removed the plastic shroud on the ceiling of the refigerator, unscrewed and unplugged the old defrost timer, and replaced it with the new one. I reinstalled the shroud with the new timer installed.

purchased a new freezer gasket. It is still iceing in the freezer but now all over the top part and down the back. The new gasket does not secure tight enough around the entire freezer door when it is closed. It is secured properly to the door but does not "grab" tight enough when the freezer door is closed.

The Pan was a direct swap, as well as the shelf bin. No tools necessary. I'm sure that a repair person would have cost me double what I paid for the same repair.

Thawed out freezer, I recommend laying a couple old towels in freezer to soak up melted ice. Replaced old thermostat with new part. Removed 2 screws, removed back plate, unplugged 2 connectors and cut 2 wires. Crimped in new thermostat and repositioned to original part location. Reconnected plugs as I reinstalled back plate. Installed 2 screws and connected power. Works like new! Trouble shooting and part installation video is very helpful, great site!

i live in Manhattan and it is so difficult to go and find a repair store that has the things you need for the specific model number. i went online and found partselect.com they had a very nice and easy search engine and gave me all the parts that goes with my fridge i just gave them my model number. i placed my order and got it 2 days after.. the shipment fee was 6 dollar i saved the taxi money going and coming i might have had even had to go to multiple store before i can find my part.
