FFHT1713LQ5 Frigidaire Refrigerator - Instructions

Snaps right into place, easy as can be.

Thawed out freezer, I recommend laying a couple old towels in freezer to soak up melted ice. Replaced old thermostat with new part. Removed 2 screws, removed back plate, unplugged 2 connectors and cut 2 wires. Crimped in new thermostat and repositioned to original part location. Reconnected plugs as I reinstalled back plate. Installed 2 screws and connected power. Works like new! Trouble shooting and part installation video is very helpful, great site!

The repair was not the issue. When I received it there was no protection packing, no invoice and if you call the number, no one is there to help. The rack was plastic with no protection in box and it was damaged. Tried to resolve this matter with no response. Will never go through part select again.

I watched the instructional video and did what it said.

Disconnect the power. To install the Defrost timer which is located inside the console at the top of the fridge I followed a YouTube video. It is very easy. Keep in mind that the Defrost timer comes settled in defrost mode so the compressor will not start after the power is reconnected.There is a hole in the console just behind the Defrost timer where you engaged it with a flat driver and rotate the clock until the compresor start. Now the compressor works for 6 hours and stop for 20 minutes for the defrosting cicle. The freezer now is freezing the meat!!

Ordered the Capacitor and the Thermostat Control. Parts were received in a matter of a few days, easy to install, but did not fix the problem. Had to call a repairman to fix the problem (compressor relay - this part not available to order for this model number with Parts Select). Will continue to use Parts Select in the future for other parts, but not happy that the actual part I needed was not available - had to use other methods.

Super easy. I watch the short video and did the same. (Removal) I started by emptying the two drawers of produce. Then pulled the draws out and set them aside. Then simply lifted the cover and pulled it straight out. (New Installation) Insert the new cover to the back of the frig and dropped it in place and replace the two draws into the hanging tracks and push them in. Done

removed freezer door and installed the new one. This was a pretty easy thing to do, although putting the old handle on the new door was a challenge. No knowing that there is a plastic piece holding the top of the handle i broke the that piece and had to order another one. Mean while the freezer was making alot of frost inside, so that had to be cleaned after the new part came.

Popped out the old items and popped in the new items.

Ordered part easily with modal number ( they tell you where to find it). Received quickly and snapped paper in. They also had a video instruction. Will definitely use again!

Install by sliding the rack directly down above the fridge's tabs.

I cut wires from bad thermostat and removed it . Stripped wires and crimped connectors on new thermostat and wires from old thermostat. Used heat gun to seal sleeves over connectors. Very helpful video from this site Thanks, you will be my go to parts supplier from now on!!!!!!!!!!!!
