FRT21TNCW3 Frigidaire Refrigerator - Instructions

All I had to do was remove the original support that was on the inside wall of the refrigerator, which I had to use pliers since there were broken pieces, and then I just snapped the new one into the three holes provided for this support. The crisper drawer works fine now. It literally only took about 1 minute.

Based on the website I decided it was most probably the defrost timer, and that was correct. I ordered it, watched the video, and two days later the part was at my door. Took the nut driver, removed 4 screws, then removed the old defrost timer, installed the new one, re-installed the whole plastic assembly with the four screws, and done!!! Couldn't have been easier.

just had to loosen the old, broken piece, and snap in the replacement. Piece of cake

Put the new shelf into position-Voila!

Unscrewed (loosen) screws lifted unit out unplugged electrical connection. plugged in unit hung on screws tightened screws and had ice in less then 1 hour. Rick

Removed the vent cover at the bottom. Removed the screws. disconected the harnes and put the new timer in. This was a very easy fix. Thank You!

Having tried PartSelect.com before, I was very comfortable with the process. Input my symptoms and the feed back I received was that one of the 2 things (Defrost Timer or Defrost Thermostat)might need replacement. Since the cost was not much and over night shipping would cost more than the product, I decided to order both the parts. Changing parts was a breeze. The instructions posted by others on your web site were very easy to follow. You guys save me a bundle every time I have any thing going worng with any of my appliances.

Occasionally, we'd get one batch of ice cubes and a frozen lake of water in the bottom of the ice tray.

The installation was easy and I won't bother duplicating the comments of others who have installed this part.

One word of caution: The ice maker contains a heating element on the bottom. That element is apparently live even when the ice bar is in the upper (off) position. When I unscrewed the old ice maker and went to lift it off the bolts, I severely burned my finger on the bottom of the old ice maker because apparently I started the repair in the middle of the heating cycle.

I highly recommend that you unplug the ice maker entirely before doing the replacement and gingerly ensure that the unit isn't hot before touching it. You'll save yourself a nasty burn.

Took old defrost pan off, put new one on. Had to bend new defrost pan a little for it to fit..

I had a fridge that was not working food was melting in the freezer, Beer was warm. You get the picture anyway using your site I found the parts needed to to fix the issue in fact I ordered two parts one fixed the issue 50% and the other like 30% of the time! both parts with overnight shipping were cheaper than 1 part if purchased at our local appliance part outlet:) not to mention the cost of a repair person. A little research told me the hum plus no cooling was either the compressor or the relay. I ordered the new relay and put it in but it didn't fix the problem. I ended up having to buy a new fridge, but it was worth the $30 gamble to see if I could fix it on the cheap and it saved me the money a service call would've cost. Pretty easy installation, just in a tight space on my model.

I used a flat head screwdriver to pry open the front of the socket as I pushed the socket toward the freezer side. I unplugged the two wires connected to the socket then re-connected the two wires to the new socket and popped the new socket back in. I then put a new light bulb in and we had light again in the fridge.

loosened 2 screws with 1/4 inch nut driver, disconnected electric connection lifted old ice maker out, replaced it with new one hooked up electric plug tightened 2 screws

Followed the instructions that came with replacement ice maker...was very clear and easy to follow and only took 5 minutes. I also watched the video sent via email with my order confirmation which was very well done and easy to follow. The only information that would have helped would have been a note to wait over-night for the ice maker to make ice as I thought I did something wrong when it wasn't making ice right away....waited until morning and had lots of ice. If I knew how straight forward and easy this was, I would have done it a lot sooner.

Ordered ice maker, watch video of how to. It takes less than 5 min. Installes just like the video. Loosen 2 1/4" Screws, lift ice maker up, unplug old unit, Reverse. Just make sure water tube is lined up when you install new unit and wire is tucked up out of the way. Mine did not really start making ice till the next day.
