removed both the shelf retainer and shelf bin, replace with the new units ordered from partselet.com. the whole process from searching, ordering, shipping and installing was very easy... thanks for everything

I can't believe I put if off so long... so easy to do and PartSelect was very fast, efficient, and the cheapest vendor for my part.

purchased a new freezer gasket. It is still iceing in the freezer but now all over the top part and down the back. The new gasket does not secure tight enough around the entire freezer door when it is closed. It is secured properly to the door but does not "grab" tight enough when the freezer door is closed.

I started look inside ,disconnected power, and open all possible compartments to see any burned part. Fortunately I fined a small part look like melted and then i went online and make my research .Then i ordered that part and change it.

The part i recieved, from parts select was a larger in circumfrence (<1/4) than the original. However i was not aware of this until after i treid to repair it.

I removed the broken fan from the condenser. This was very sipmle.

When i pluged the refridgerator back in to the outlet the fan tried to start up but soon began to make aloud noise, due to there not being enough clerance.

The Pan was a direct swap, as well as the shelf bin. No tools necessary. I'm sure that a repair person would have cost me double what I paid for the same repair.

It was soooo easy. I simply clicked the shelf in place! Thank you so much for all of your help. I love this website!

Order parts on sat.afternoon,and got part on Tues.aand installed in less them 2 min.

The knob came in the plastic package. It was the correct part. I opened the package and placed the knob on the prongs. Now it works fine.

I followed your video instructions, is very important to have this information.

I initially replaced the defrost timer, and later replaced it and the defrost thermostat. The defrost thermostat was the faulty component

The parts were easily replaceable. No special instructions needed. Just identify and remove and replace. I didn't know which specific part needed to be replaced (both reported to fix my problem) but neither part was very expensive so I replaced both. No special tools needed. 1/4" nutdriver and phillips head screwdriver. Repair took about 30 minutes. I did have to make an adjustment on the defrost timer (a small dial on the unit) I just set it how the old part was set. I immediately knew it was going to work when I plugged the refrigerator back in and the fan motor inside the freezer kicked on. Easy peesy...

i live in Manhattan and it is so difficult to go and find a repair store that has the things you need for the specific model number. i went online and found partselect.com they had a very nice and easy search engine and gave me all the parts that goes with my fridge i just gave them my model number. i placed my order and got it 2 days after.. the shipment fee was 6 dollar i saved the taxi money going and coming i might have had even had to go to multiple store before i can find my part.
