FFSS2615TE3 Frigidaire Refrigerator - Instructions

removed ice maker box and disassembled crusher unit on front of box and installed new housing.

Followed instructions from others on the blog. Shut off water and electricity to the refrigerator. Removed the cardboard plate. Removed the old water valve. Cut the compression valves off and inserted the tubes into the new water valve. Attached the water valve bracket to the fridge. Tightened copper water supply.Turned on the water - no leaks. Plugged the fridge in. Tried the water and ice in the door. No leaks - everything worked perfectly. THANK YOU PARTS SELECT!

Parts Supply had a YouTube video to show it was done. This is one of the best sites to get parts there is. Easy to use, tells you how to install them easily. Thanks Parts Supply, I'll be back whenever I need a appliance part.

removed rear cover, removed screws, diconnected water line connections, cut off old water line connection, installed new compression water line connection, replace screws in water line housing, replace rear cover.

Of course, this was an easy install - carefully line up the slots on the door with the slots on the bin and slide the bin down completely to lock in place. However it is the same bin as on our old fridge, so I was expecting the door bins on our year old fridge to break as quickly as the old one - it did! So on these replacements, I reinforced the bin with duct tape all the way around and down the side edges (not at the slots, or it wouldn't have fit). This helped the replacements on the old fridge, so I am hoping it will help these to last longer. Not sure why I didn't do that with them when we first got it a year ago. But, here's hoping! This seems so wrong of the manufacturer to create 'disposable' parts for an appliance this expensive!

got replacement ice container with ice crusher and dispenser in the door. removed broken one and slid in the new one like a drawer and started crushing ice right away!!

The repair didn't happen. The bin arrived broken and I have been ignored by whoever takes care of getting me a replacement. I would very much appreciate some communication

Installation was completed by following the online Parts diagram. Had to completely remove all parts, including the blades in ice crusher, and re-assemble. Glad the online diagram was clear and easy to read.

I removed the screws that held the the ice dispencer from the bin. I than removed three screws from the bottom of the bin. I put the new plastic piece on the end of the spiral piece that
pushes the ice. I inserted the spiral piece back into the hole. I than screwed the ice dispencer
to the bin and re-inserted it back in the refrigerator.
It took me about 5 to 10 minutes. It's really easy!

Ordered a new shelf which arrived very fast. Installed in no time at all as it just slides in and rests on brackets. No tools needed and the new part looks just like the original.

When I went to install the new shelf, I saw two small ridges near where the shelf mounts on either end of the door. It was possible to slide the new shelf in behind the ridges, making a tighter fit for the shelf. Probably this was not done when the refrigerator was delivered and installed by the delivery person.

Pulling the old seal was the easy part. The problem became dificult when I opened the seal package. Either Part Select or UPS had folded the seal in half. Witch caused the wire inside the seal to become crimped up. I used a pair of pliers "carefully" to straighten the wire as best I could. Luckly it worked, after pressing it firmly all the way aroud about 5 or 6 times. I'll still keep an eye on it for the next couple of weeks.

Remove plastic cover from freezer door by sliding upwards and disconnect wire harness.
Disconnect wire harness from refrigerator to module.
Unscrew 3 x philips screws securing the module frame in the door.
Remove the plastic water tube from the dispenser module.
My water tube was perished and leaking, so I replaced it with 6mm diameter automotive vacuum hose and secured it to the water line spigot with a zip-tie. (Note: the module I ordered does not come with a water tube).
Re-assembly is the reverse of the above.

I had removed the housing that the drum was in and taken the screws out to get to the broken drum. I removed it there was a set of 6 blades that crushed the ice that had to go back on the same order when I removed these I put them on a piece of wire in the order they came off (so I would get them back I the correct order). Then I reversed the order and reassembled it in the opposite direction . It was fairly easy to do. I'm a 68 year old disabled woman so if I could do it I'm sure you could to. Good luck. It cost me $14.00 if I had bought the whole assembly it would have been $150.00. So it was well worth my time and effort.
