First I removed the broken end caps. I placed the new end cap onto the shelf bar and snapped the end cap into the holding slot on the door interior. Took about 5 minutes. Very easy.

We have a wonderful Kelvinator refrigerator. It has served us tirelessly for more than 15 years - and looks as good as new! (We frequently clean it out and clean the interior and exterior, to keep it looking and smelling clean)

Replacement of the end caps and shelf was very easy!

The broken end caps were removed (missing for years), and it became one of those small projects that one never gets around to. I finally took down the model number and looked online for it. Google or Yahoo (can't remember which) pointed us to you site. I was SHOCKED to see that the parts were still available! I called your friendly customer order line and had a very pleasant experience placing the order. The BIGGEST shock came when the parts arrived THE NEXT DAY!! Just in time for Thanksgiving! The Repair:

Easy as pie. The end caps simply snap into place. I did the left side first, then carefully inserted the metal bar, which is supported by the two end caps. Next I snapped in the right side cap - DONE. It took longer to clean the bar up, than it did to replace the caps!

The Results:

The bottom door shelf is now useable again. We can place 2 liter beverages and juice containers on the door, where they belong! My wife cheered and commented, "The refrigerator is no longer an eye sore when I open it!" :-)

I measured the width I needed and used a handsaw to cut it the proper length. Then I snaped the pieces in and it was a perfect fit.

First, I should tell you I break more things than I fix by trying to install wrong or tightening until broken. It may seem real easy to to put end caps on but there was a suprised look on my wife's face when she watched me put them on the first time. She made me some chocolate chip cookies to celebrate. I ordered the parts and received them the next day. I shopped local and and was quoted up to five times the price nobody had them in stock.

I put the end caps on the cross bar and reinstalled it in the fridge. Easy job.

Door panel was already off. Took off broken caps, placed new ones on & put back on door.

I removed the broken end caps by hand. They snap in to the center retainer bar. I ordered replacement parts from part select on their website. New end caps arrived in a couple of days. I installed new caps. No tools needed. Great service by part select. Thank you tm staten island ny

We just put the new end parts into the door and then placed the bar inside the caps. We had contacted our appliance dealer at least three times to get parts for us but to no avail. A friend told me about your website and the rest was history ----- and easy. Thank you.

Ordered the parts from the product discription (photo) as well as chart showing actual size. Got the parts( in two separate shipments) cut the bar to length and snapped them inot place. Bingo!

put both end caps on metal guard,put back on door,push down to lock into place. 30 second repair,

cut the retainer bar to proper lengh, put on the
end caps of both bars in question and snapped them both into place.

I snapped the brackets into the ends of the shelf bar, then inserted them into the holes in the door and pulled down each end until it snapped in place.

The repair was very easy. I had to squeeze the ends of the door shelf in a bit with pliers since the shape of the new end caps was slightly smaller than the shelf bar. BUT - here is the most important part. I had gone to a parts replacement store where I was quoted the price of $18.00 EACH for the end caps. Yes, $18.00 each!!
