EI23BC30KW3 Electrolux Refrigerator - Instructions

Remove the crisper drawers. Lift the crisper frame and shelf up and out. Place on a flat surface glass side down. Remove all the Phillips screws holding the frame and the 4 drawer slides. Replace the frame and reassemble.

This was probably the easiest repair I have done on this refrigerator. I pulled the unit away from the wall, turned off the water, and disconnected the hose. I have a wooden floor in my kitchen so I was careful to put a towel under the hose and valve. Very little water drained out but I kept the towel there for insurance. After removing the access panel, I removed the two screws holding the valve in place, slid it back to where I could unplug the wiring connected to it. The connectors are color coded so there is no worry about putting them back incorrectly. The new valve uses push-in type water connections, so you have to cut the old style connections off of the plastic water lines. Kitchen shears did this easily. Then is was just a matter of pushing each line into the proper connector on the valve, reattach the electrical connectors, and slide the valve back in place. Reinstall the screws, reinstall the access panel, hook up the water hose, slide the unit back into it's niche, and run about a gallon of water through the dispenser and you are done.

If this happens to you the first thing I would do is shut off the freezer and, using a hair dryer, melt the ice in the ice maker and heat up the water inlet to make sure it is not froze up. Turn the freezer back on and wait to see if that cures the problem. If not, order the new water inlet valve and follow the simple instructions in the video provided on the PartSelect website. I have never have a more pleasant experience with any parts/repair service than I did with PartSelect. After ordering that part it came within the time they stated and their help with the install was great. The new inlet valve came with pisco connectors so had to cut the end of the tubes off. Before doing this I marked all the tubes to make sure they were replaced in the correct order. The pisco connectors are great to use and very quick. The total install time was about 20 to 30 minutes. While you have the back of the frig off make sure you vaccuum the fan and coils. It was making ice in less than 20 minutes.

I turned off the water, removed the cardboard cover from the back of the refrigerator; removed the 2 screws holding the water valve in place; unscrewed the plastic tubing from the valve; unplugged the wires to each solenoid (3); the old valve had threaded connections for the plastic water lines, the new valve didn't; I had to cut the ferrel off of the plastic lines so I could insert them into the new valve and then press the connector into the valve (I didn't anticipate something like this, but it worked fine); I reconnected the wiring and screwed the valve back into place. The ice maker started making ice and the water stopped dripping from the dispenser. The best $65 I've ever spent.

Turned off the water supply ,pulled the plug removed two screws to access theater lines the new valve body was a little different than the original I had to cut off the end of each hose and push them in to the new connections the hoses are size and color coded replaced the two screws put the water line on plugged it in and turned on the water checked for leaks twice and replaced the back cover

I noticed that the two gears weren't meshing together so upon inspection I saw that one of the gears had an inner piece missing making it weak so it kept popping out away from the other great. I ordered the new gear and unscrewed the old one off and put the new one on. So easy. It made Ice beautiful after that

The water flow on or refrigerator was just trickling out. After trying to make sure there was no kink in hose, I called for replacement. Water flows great now... actually better than when new.

I changed the valve but still no ice, changed the filter also. think it was just froze. could have saved me 70 bucks

Easy to assemble after cutting original water line fittings off. Use sharp knife to keep from damaging end of water lines.

removed backing to refrig unscrewed 2 screws from bracket pulled unit out unhooked hoses and elec plug's / putting in new just reversed the instalation

My part had threaded fittings. The part that I received had snap fittings. Once I realized that that snap fittings worked with the bare tubing and not any special tip endings, I simply cut off the ends of my tubing that mated with the threaded fittings. I then had bare tubing that snapped into the snap fittings. Two minutes later, the part was in place and the job was done. Problem solved.
