no water flowed to the ice maker
1. Turn off water in line to refrigerator. 2. disconnect hose from refrigerator. 3. Remove back cardboard panel at bottom of refrigerator. 4 Remove 2 screws holding in the valve assembly at bottom right. 5. best way I found to remove hoses (all color coded) is to cut with razor knife at the white collar. cut clean and square. 6. disconnect electrical (also color coded) 7. connect hoses to valve assembly by pushing hose firmly into hole. If you are familiar with PEX then this is the same. Reconnect electrical. Reconnect to refrigerator... 3,2,1 your done. It will take a couple cycles to get the air out of the lines.

Ice Maker Not Getting Water
Followed the instructions from another person in the Part Select water valve section and from the video on the same page. Excellent instructions and very easy installation. Water dispenser and ice maker began performing properly as soon as the refrigerator was plugged back in to the power.

light switch broken
Not long after we bought this fridge, the plastic on the light switch cracked, making the lever stick out too much so that the door wouldn't close. It's been taped down ever since. I simply pulled the old switch out and plugged the new one in. I'm kicking myself that I didn't do this ages ago. It was so easy and now I can see inside my refrigerator again.

Leaking water
My part had threaded fittings. The part that I received had snap fittings. Once I realized that that snap fittings worked with the bare tubing and not any special tip endings, I simply cut off the ends of my tubing that mated with the threaded fittings. I then had bare tubing that snapped into the snap fittings. Two minutes later, the part was in place and the job was done. Problem solved.

My Ice Maker stopped making ice and the water dripped from the dispenser
I turned off the water, removed the cardboard cover from the back of the refrigerator; removed the 2 screws holding the water valve in place; unscrewed the plastic tubing from the valve; unplugged the wires to each solenoid (3); the old valve had threaded connections for the plastic water lines, the new valve didn't; I had to cut the ferrel off of the plastic lines so I could insert them into the new valve and then press the connector into the valve (I didn't anticipate something like this, but it worked fine); I reconnected the wiring and screwed the valve back into place. The ice maker started making ice and the water stopped dripping from the dispenser. The best $65 I've ever spent.

No Water For Ice Maker Or Drinking
Repair as illustrated was right on. Repair was easy. No problem except still no water for ice or drinking. The valve was not the problem. Filter was replaced prior to valve replacement. Must be a electric switch some where. 3 Yrs ago I have replaced the water activation plastic lever for drinking which was a bit difficult and it turned out ok.

When the ice maker was filling the ice tray with water, the water would come out the water dispenser at the same time.
First I watched the PartSelect installation video. Then unplugged the power and shut off the water valve on the wall. I used a 1/4" nut driver and removed (4) screws on the back bottom cover of the refrigerator and removed the cover. I removed the (2) mounting screws on the back lower right side of the refrigerator and removed the triple water valve assembly. I then marked the (4) water lines and (3) solenoid connectors with numbers, to make sure they get connected back in the same place, and then I removed them. I used a retractable blade knife to cut the ends of the water lines perpendicular. I pushed the (4) water lines into the valve holes and plugged the solenoid connectors back onto the new triple valve assembly. I mounted the new triple valve, put the back cover on, turned on the water, checked for water leaks. There were no leaks. Then I plugged in the power and waited for it to fill up the ice tray. It works perfectly now ! And it was really easy ! Thank You PartSelect for making this repair easy for me.

Water Was Leaking From The Glass Fill Dispenser
This was probably the easiest repair I have done on this refrigerator. I pulled the unit away from the wall, turned off the water, and disconnected the hose. I have a wooden floor in my kitchen so I was careful to put a towel under the hose and valve. Very little water drained out but I kept the towel there for insurance. After removing the access panel, I removed the two screws holding the valve in place, slid it back to where I could unplug the wiring connected to it. The connectors are color coded so there is no worry about putting them back incorrectly. The new valve uses push-in type water connections, so you have to cut the old style connections off of the plastic water lines. Kitchen shears did this easily. Then is was just a matter of pushing each line into the proper connector on the valve, reattach the electrical connectors, and slide the valve back in place. Reinstall the screws, reinstall the access panel, hook up the water hose, slide the unit back into it's niche, and run about a gallon of water through the dispenser and you are done.
