My problem was that the freezer was frosting up.
I have a no frost system so I decided to investigate.
I removed the panels inside the freezer compartment.
This took me about 5 minutes. After the ice had melted, I noticed that the clicks-on (bi-metal stat)
has the top push out at about a 45% angle.
After ordering a replacement, I pushed the top of the bi-metal down to where it's supposed to be.
Put the freezer back together and plugged it in. I needed the freezer while the part is being shipped.
The part arrived in about 3 days, which was very fast and a surprise to me.
The freezer was still working fine so I put the part in the drawer until I needed it.
That was in April 09 and it is still working. I have the part in case I need it.

Lost screw on bottom refrigerator door hinge which allowed the door to fall off. Purchased screw from Part Select for the Roper refrigerator. Drawings and parts list for this unit were available on their website. Easy repair.

removed the defrost timer and replaced with new unit now i have a refrigerator again

Unplugged the machine removed the bottom plate and back plate and ice maker.Removed 2 wires to motor and ground wire.Removed 2 mounting nuts for motor,installed new motor and used old fan blade for new motor .Reinstalled in reverse order plugged in and tested fine.

After removing the old seal, I was able to mount the new seal on the inside panel. Then, as I replaced the screws, I learned that prior to tightening I needed to be sure that the flap was as far in as possible (between the inner panel and the door). I read on this website that someone used a hair dryer to make the seal maleable enough to ensure contact all around the door. That worked like a charm. I didn't even need to take the door off of the refrigerator.

The gooseneck on the icemaker fill tube extends out beyond the back cabinet of the refrigerator, and is easily broken. Luckily, this part is a piece of cake to replace. You'll literally spend more time pulling out your fridge and cleaning out behind it then you will replacing this part.

Shut off water supply line, and turn off ice maker (lift the metal bar in the ice bucket all the way up). Loosen the hose fitting, and remove two screws. Pull out the old tube, and slide the new one in. You may have to wiggle the tube around from the inside to get the alignment correct. Replace screws and fitting. Turn water and ice maker back on, and check for leaks. It really is that easy! It took me longer to type this than to actually replace the part.

Only one potential catch. The instructions warn that you may have to cut the new tube to match the length of the old tube, so make sure you compare the length of the old and new tube. I didn't have to to do anything - the replacement part was the exact same length of the original. If by chance you do need to cut the tube, you'll need small saw of some sort, such as a coping or hack saw.

Take bottom racks and baskets out of freezer. Remove back sheet metal panel, 8 screws. Remove motor and bracket, 2 screws. Umplug wires on motor. Remove two more screws to take mounting bracket off motor. Install in reverse order. Simple job. Maybe 20 minutes. Besure to shut freezer off before startin work.

Just replaced the switch, but unfortunately that was not the problem; nor was it the bulb....so I am back to square one.

The problem was discovered to be a cracked fill tube head, This part extends behind the refigerator and is VERY vulnerable to breakage when the box is pushed backagainst a wall space! Placing a shim under the vertical part of the fill tube fixed the problem even without replacing it with the new part. So, now I have a spare!

I just unscrewed the plate that locks in the light switch (screwdriver) and unplugged the old faulty part and plugged in the new switch, screwed the cover back on and I was done!

Easy!

And I am not Mr. Fix-it!

Slid out old ones and installed new ones

Remove and clean out everything from the freezer and unplug the refrigerator. Take out the wire shelf in the freezer. (The fan motor is behind the back wall of the freezer, SO YOU CAN KEEP THE REFRIGERATOR CLOSED). Pop off the little cover on the center of the plastic shroud. Remove the little screw and carefully remove the plastic shroud. Remove the plastic cover for the optional ice maker on the upper left corner of the back wall. Take out the two screws in the upper corners on the back wall of the freezer and the last two screws holding the fan motor. The fan motor won't drop, remove the back wall and you will see two screws holding the motor mount. Remover those two screws, and pop the bracket out and separate.Take the two rubber motor mounts off the ends of the old motor and install them on the new motor. (Now you will have to cut the wires off the old motor), unplug the little wire harness, strip the ends and crimp on wire connectors to plug them onto your new motor. Its an AC motor so it shouldn't matter which hot goes on which of the two terminals. JUST MAKE SURE THE GROUND IS CORRECT! (After reinstalling the motor, plug in the refrigerator, turn it on before installing the shroud and make sure the fan is blowing outward. If all is correct, turn the refrigerator off, unplug and finish assembling the freezer. I found the new motor seems to run more efficiently than the old one.

Freezer was running for extremely long periods I noticed and not doing a great job of cooling the fridge.I assumed it was in need of a defrosting so I took the panel off to take a look.
The whole radiator was covered with ice.I could see the defrost thermostat was half way popped out of its casing at a 45 degree angle.
I just had to cut the 2 wires to the defrost thermostat and wire nut the new one in.Very easy fix as the part just clips on radiator.

I had already removed the old Ice maker, so it was no longer in.

When the new ice maker arrived, I simply pluged it in, replaced the screws that hold it in place and turned the water back on to the ice maker.
It was that easy.
