It's self-explanatory. The procedure is obvious; it's just a little difficult. The only hard part is attaching the mounting brackets to the fan. If you can't tighten the mounting bolts, loosen them and reposition the brackets. You might end up mispositioning them at first, because they are hard to reach.

The light rocker switch wasnt working. I found the part on the web site. It was so easy. I used a screw driver to pop out the old one and pop the new one in. It took 5 min. Thanks!!!

I recently bought an old Amana refrigerator for my garage on CraigsList for 75 bucks. It was in great condition for its age, but was missing the post that supports the fruit and veggie crisper drawers. I did a Google search, quickly found PartSelect, and just as quickly located and ordered the missing part, which was reasonably priced. PartSelect promised it woud be delivered in 3-5 days by FedEx Ground and it was. I took it out of the box, removed the crisper backets - and glass cover for them - installed the post and WHA-LA, the crisper backets work just as good as when the fridge was new! Couldn't have had an on-line mal-order operation go any slicker!

Remove 3 screws, took top hinge out, fz door and inserted shim...done.

Very simple fix, remove 3 screws, two connectors to the old switch

I emptied the refrigerator, pulled out the crisper drawers, removed the left side crisper frame and support post, slid in the new frame and post (no tools required), reinstalled the crisper drawers, reloaded all the food back into the refrigerator. I was done in less than 15 minutes. One of the easiest repairs I have ever had to do.

I was heartbroken when I shattered the 27 inch long glass shelf while cleaning the refrigerator. It slipped out of the frame when I was sliding it back in. Part Select came to the rescue. Not only did they have the replacement glass for only $20, but it arrived practically the next day! I just slid the glass right in. No tools necessary.

I removed the switch housing (4 screws), replacing the switch in the housing was a snap. It took 5 minutes, cost $8 and light works like new!

Why didn't I order this part and do the repair earlier? Very simple.

Removed the ice brucket,
Removed the light shield by releasing one screw using a nutdriver.
Replacing the bulb and reinstalled the light shield.

I left the new seal out in the sun to warm up, while it was warming up I took the door off of the fridge and laid it flat. I removed all of screws holding the plastic shelves in place, removed the old gasget fitted the new one and reinstalled the door.

Removed panel and motor cover at rear of freezer compartment. This requires 1/4" nut driver. Removed motor assembly bracket and wiring, careful to note where ground, neutral and hot were attached. The entire assembly must be removed from the freezer compartment in order to swap new motor for old motor. Re-inserted assembly into freezer compartment, reattached wiring. Made sure all assembly screws were tightly fastened and wiring was correct. Re-attached panel cover and motor cover. I did note that a few of the 1/4" machine screws wobbled in the original holes; I used slightly larger, 5/16" head machine screws of identical length as replacements. New motor is much quieter. No longer sounds like a truck is idling in our home.

Most difficult part was finding where they hid the defrost timer. (it is in the left front under the fridge behind the kick panel.) just unscrew the two fastener screws from the front, tilt fridge up on one side, slide timer bracket back and remove. Unplug and remove timer from metal bracket. Replace timer and remount bracket.

Followed the video instruction and it was fairly easy to install. Let the gaskets sit for a day to reshape itself. Started by loosening the screws then removal of the gasket was done. The only hard part was to align the Gasket evenly. Not removing the doors made the install a little more difficult for alignment.

Emptied unit and removed screws holding panels at rear of freezer compartment. Removed panels. Removed two screws holding motor. Made diagram of wire locations and fan blade orientation. Removed three wires and fan blade from motor. Took new motor and installed wires and fan blade to motor. Installed motor with screws. Test ran frig and reinstalled panels.

****Make are you order Capacitor & Starter relay too (we ordered separtely so had to pay shipping twice)**** Super easy just open access panel on back near compressor and remove retention clip with fingers, remove & replace both capacitor & starter, put clip and access panel back on, plug in and allow 8 hours to cool! Works like new again! Hope it goes another 10 years
