Shelf shattered when I was cleaning it.
The shelf suddenly shattered when I was cleaning it in my sink. It almost seemed to blow up - glass flew for yards. I went online and by chance found the partselect website, easily found the part and ordered it, and was shocked when it arrived THE NEXT DAY! I have never had such a good experience with any website. I thought I'd have to go for days without my shelf, but instead it was only one day!

Location of the run capacitor was not as the video described.
It was easy after it was apparent that the run capacitor was plugged into the compressor. This was determined from a parts diagram of the actual model refrigerator. The part was the same but the location on the video was wrong. A large screwdriver was used to unplug the capacitor from the compressor. The temperature range of the refrigerator is still too wide but it's colder.

Ice Maker Cycling But Not Making Ice
Adding water to Ice Maker, caused ice to be made. I assumed the Single Outlet Water Valve to be problem (despite %4 probability). I suppose problem could have been in the ice maker itself and it's interface to the Single Outlet Water Valve but fortunately the Single Outlet Water Valve solved the problem. The Parts Select replacement part video was very helpful and the replacement was fairly easy. Were the problem in the Ice Maker itself, I don't know that I could have justified the cost of the the repair for a 17 year old refrigerator.

Door Shelf Retainer Bar Replacement.
The firt hard thing was waiting for the part to arrive, but that went quick. The second hardest part was opening the box. Shucks I got a paper cut, should have used a razor but while wife wont let me have sharp objects. Oh, yeah I had to find the hachsaw. I fooled everyone I knew where that was too. Be sure to measure properly, because if you cut too short then you have to stretch the bar. I havn't found any type of bar stretcher that works. It's best if you clamp the metal bar to a 2 X 4 piece of wood in order to steady the metal bar while you cut. You can't cut to well trying to hold the metal bar in your hand. The best part was completeing the job by installing the bars. Finally I have more room in my freezer to store food in the doors. This is my story and I am sticking to it. Have fun.

Refrigerator stopped running; could turn off thermostat, then restart by turning thermostat back on.
Pulled refrigerator from the wall and took the bottom panel off. The defrost timer is on the right side. Removed screws, pulled old timer out and plugged the new timer in. It couldn't have been simpler.
PartSelect correctly diagnosed the problem and told us the part we needed to fix the issue. This is the second time we've relied on them to help us get an appliance up and running. Great company, they are our go to for parts.
Thanks PartSelect!

Bottom shelf retainer, to keep products in, kept falling off causing bottles and other products to end up on the floor.
Tuned up the ends of the bracket with a needle-nosed pliers then installed new retainer clips into bracket. I then laid on floor and lined up two holes in door and bracket (one end at a time) and pushed retainer clips into door's existing holes. Door was open for less than 30 seconds. Bracket is now solid and holding. Note: Do not jam products in bottom or any shelf thus putting pressure on bracket. Find a new home for the product!!

Retainer bar was missing.
I had to cut the bar to the right length with a hacksaw. The most difficult part was getting on the plastic supports/pins on either end. I'm not sure a hacksaw is the best way to cut a retainer bar, but it worked.
