broken inside oven door glass
The repair went very well the most difficult was getting the door off. There is a certain way to do it as the springs in the door are very strong. It went well except for a small cut a thumb. The repair is easier with two people at least to get the door removed. You must be very careful to remember how the door comes apart. Be careful to not touch the glass putting it in once it is installed it is impossible to get the finger prints off. With help of a friend or in this case my son along with a couple of bloody marys it went well and we had fun.

thanks

Both left and right door hinges broke off their pins
The first time I took the door apart to see what part to order it was difficult. The second time I knew what I was in for and was more prepared. Replacing the hinges were no problem. It was taking apart the door that was more difficult.

hinge on oven door broken
I have KitchenAid convection oven that is about ten years old . The hinge on the left hand side broke so I had to replace it. It took me about 2 hours to get the job done because I cleaned the door as I went . The change out while fairly strait forward did take some time . A lot longer the some of the people said .

Gas broiler stopped working
I unscrewed the igniter from the top of the oven, and removed the back panel of the stove. I had a friend in the back while I jiggled the two wires to see which ones they where. Then I had to use two pliers to pull the connectors apart. I tied a string to the two wires and pulled them out through the oven and left the string and tied the new wires to the string and pulled the new wires through the back of the stove, and replaced the back and screws.

We were extremely happy that there was a replacement for our cooktop. When appliances are 25 yrs old it becomes difficult to find replacements and sometimes there just aren't any. Thank you Parts Select.

Nylon roller on bottom oven shelf broken off
The nylon roller was very easy to install. Although rather pricey for what the part was, it was shipped immediately and got the job done. Took all of 5 minutes to do. I wish all my repair jobs were that easy.

No Ignition Spark From Any Burner
The replacement wiring harness arrived earlier than expected - good news. Once at the stove, I began the process of dismantling the range controls, but as no instructions were included with the part, this task was more time consuming than it needed to be. Nonetheless, I was able to remove the original harness. Next, I removed the replacement harness from it's shipping box to begin the installation. However, I quickly discovered that the wiring (both wires) had separated between the second block/pot and the third. From visual inspection, it appeared that the copper had simply broken off inside the block/pot. I did install the new harness to see if it would at least provide spark to ignite the two leftmost burners - it did. So at least 2 of the 4 burners will now light without using a match. I've ordered another replacement harness in the hopes that it's not defective, too. Partselect.com was quick to send a shipping label for the return of the first replacement and has promised a refund for the defective harness once it's returned.

Replacing oven light and socket
The old part, including lightbulb and socket, had corroded into place, and the glass light cover was stuck to the socket. I used a dead blow hammer and a dowel just under the diameter of the hole to tap on the back side of the socket to loosen it and get it out. The metal tabs on the old socket were folded back to make it fit better (?), which made it harder to remove. Lots of muscling of the part to get it out. Easy to install new part once old one was out of the way. An experienced person would have removed the old part and installed the new in no time.
