RS696PXBQ4 Whirlpool Range - Instructions

First, I removed the oven door by pulling it open to where it loocked and then I pulled it up and off the hinges. Second, I removed the two screws on the top of the door and three screws on the bottom ot the door which allowed me to remove the front of the door. Third, using a nut driver, I removed the frame holding the inner glass to the door and removed that. Fourth, I removed the frame holding the broken glass to the door by removing the screws using my nut driver. I carefully removed the broken glass and vacuumed the channel that had the gasket in it. The gasket was fine so I did not have to replace it and will return it. I placed the glass in the frame on the gasket and reassembled the door in reverse order of how I had disassembled. All went smooth as silk.

The hardest part was figuring which breaker controlled the oven because it wasn't marked in my breaker box (it IS now!). So, first I killed all power to the stove, then unscrewed the 2 screws in the back of the oven holding the element. Pulled the element forward, then dissconnected the 2 clampy connector wires (yes, I'm a girl, no correct electrical jargon here). These were a little difficult because my oven is 21 years old & this is the first replacement I've had to do. I reconnected the new element clamps(which was easier), pushed the wires back through the opening & reinserted the screws. Threw the breaker back on, turned on oven to 200 degrees & let heat until the set temperature light turned off as a test. Voila - oven fixed!

I ordered part from Part Select, which literally arrived in 2 days. I unscrewed the two (2) screws holding the old bake element in the oven. Pulled out the element and detached the wires connected to the element, which was easily done without any tools. Attached those wires (again easily by hand with no tools) to the new bake element and screwed the two (2) screws back in. The whole process including ordering the part online, unpacking the box and installing took 15 minutes. Wonderful and in time for my wife and daughter to bake Christmas cookies!

Well it was quite simple to replace all I used was a long Phillips screw driver,the job only took me 10 minutes to complete,thank you so much for the part you sent me it was the correct part.

My husband took the plastic cover off and took out old bulb and screwed in the new one. Then put the cover back on.

I took out 2 screws and installed new element! It took 5 mins.

turned power off Unscrewed 2 screws pulled old element out slightly . disconected wires . connected wires to new element tightened 2 screws turned power back on baked a pie. took longer to type this

i received the part via fed-x i opened the box uninstalled the old part installed the new part turned it on the element got red hot and it works just fine.

Turned off electric to oven by shutting circuit breaker.Opened oven door, took out baking racks,loosened bolts from rear of oven holding element and plate . Disengaged element with plate from wires at rear of oven. Attached new element to clips on wires, rescrewed element plate back to rear wall. replaced racks and turned on circuit breaker. DONE!

I unscrewed the two screws holding the element in place and disconnected the two wires. Removed the element from the oven and replaced with the new one. Plugged in the two wires and replaced the two screws that secures the element to the back of the oven. Turned on the oven to test and turned back off when satisfied everything was O.K. Easy job.

Removed 2 screws on heating element mount plate. Pulled out heating element 3 inches and used needle nose pliers to remove the 2 connector clips. Reconnected connector clips by hand to new heating element. Put heating plate back into original position and reinstalled 2 mount screws.

Unplug oven unit from outlet or flip the breaker to disconnect the electricity. Used screwdriver to remove face cover, pulled wire connections from posts of old bake element. Attached wire connections to posts of the new bake element(they just slip on the posts). Aligned the face cover flush with the oven wall and replaced screws to hold cover on. Reconnect electricity and ready to bake. It is very simple.... We were very pleased with how quickly the element was delivered after ordering it.

I just removed two screws and disconnected the push on clips I then cleaned the botton of the oven and replaced the element. And it works just like new.

removed racks and door (could have left door on but made it easier to reach screws) removed 2 screws from old element unplugged the 2 wires and reversed process for new element.

Replaced broken element with new one, part was delivering quickly and work great
