RF366BXVN1 Whirlpool Range - Instructions

Made sure that "Breaker" for oven is in the off positon.

Opened oven door to the first "stay open" position...lifted door straight up...and off of the hinges....which removes the door....and allows easier access to oven.

Removed oven racks

Removed two philips head

Pulled burned out element toward the front of the oven.....exposing the two connector wires.

Used pliers to pull wire connectors from burner element connectors.

Reversed the order of this process....to install new element.

Could not believe that the part was here the next day! Install was simple,just connect the wires and screw it in.

My husband undid the screws of the element. I went to Home Depot and they said I had to order in online. I could not find the part of the Home Depot website, so I googled the part and your business was easy to locate and order the part. It arrived in two days and I, the wife, was able to rescrew the element into place and, voila, the oven was functional again.

Pulled old one out, installed new one with a twist of the screw driver. Easy!!!

I removed the two screws for the bake element, diconnected the two wires attached to the bake element. I then reattached the wires to the new bake element, secured it with the two screws and I was done. It took five minutes and the oven works like new.

unscrew and then unplug old element, then pug in and screw new element. Done

removed old bake element (remove two screws, disconnect two wires. install new element connect wires, replace screws to hold in place. turn on oven to be sure it works.

I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. It was that easy. I removed the two screws that hold the element in place and then I pulled the element out and slid off the contacs and it was disconnected in less than two minutes. When it arrived I installed the new one the same way in less than 2 or 3 minutes and while I waited for thepart to arrive I got a chance to clean my oven and so all is well, I am very pleased with my purchase. Backed out two screws, disconnected two wires from faulty element, connected wires to new element, screwed back into place. (New element was ordered by phone and received the next day.)

Used screwdriver to unfasten the old element from the oven frame. Then unplugged the two wire plugs from the back of the old element. Reversed the process to install the new. Couldn't have been any simpler.

First I made sure it was in fact the lower bake element that was broken. I turned the oven on & noted the element did not glow red. I also used a laser thermometer to verify the element was at "room temperature" for the room it was in (the oven - about 200 degrees, given what the upper bake element was contributing.)
And close visual inspection showed that a section of te bake element had melted thru where something had recently spilled onto it.
Swapping it out was easy - turn off the electrical breaker controlling the oven, unscrew the bake element, disconnect the electrical contacts to it (which required pliers, since they had been on a Looong time, and a little care to not use the pliers too hard & thus break the wires or contacts), then reverse the process to install the new element.

It works great now.
