GERC4120PB2 Whirlpool Range - Instructions

I watched the video, purchased the correct heating element and did the repair as illustrated in the video. I simply removed the cook top, removed the ground wire, removed the wiring harness, removed the failed heating element, installed the new heating element and reinstalled the wiring. Piece of cake!

I did the repair by myself. I used masking tape to hold the side trim in place. It was pretty easy and it looks great.

I remove bottom trim which is held on by 3 screws and try to install new bottom trim, did not work well. I then remove yop handle assem. Then the door glass which you need to clean after. Then install the new bottom trim then insert the glass into the new bottom strip using masking tape to hold the glass and side strips in place prior to installing the the top handle piece which is held on by two screws. Not a hard job to do.

First, I turned the circuit breaker off to the range. Then, I pulled the range out so that I could get to the screws which held the glass top in place. They were located on the sides of the range. I had to remove the trim pieces on the sides to get to the forward screws. Once that was done, I lifted the glass top, unplugged the wire harness, flpped it over on a protected surface. I noted the numbers on the old coil where the clips held it in place and put the clips on the new coil in the same place. The old wires just clipped on to the new coil exactly as they clipped on to the old coil. I put it all back together and it works great! I am a 70 year old woman who did this all by myself. You young guys should have no problem.

The repair was relatively easy. Just undo the bottom draw and the new plastic trim piece is attached with two screws.

I removed the handle from the door, replaced the old one with the new one............. 1, 2, 3, just that easy. The replacement part arrived very quickly and the price could not be beat. Would I use them again...........Yes!

I went to the source of power on the stove and noticed one of the terminals had come loose from the terminal block and had shorted out against the cover of the terminal junction. After prying the loose terminal off cover I ordered new terminal block and received it the 2nd day. I removed the old terminal block and replaced the part in about 10 minutes..Thank you Parts Select for your easy to find diagrams and quick delivery.

My son broke the drawer handle of our stove a few years ago. I had to bring the new handle to the Hardware store and have them pick out screws that would work. The only problem is that I live 12 miles one way from the Hardware store. My advise is to order scews when ordering the handle.

Shut off 220 volt power to range. Removed two screws for cooktop element access. Used needle-nose pliers to remove power (2) and control (2) lugs and wires. Remove defective cooking element module, replaced. Reverse steps for new unit.

The repair was VERY simple....2 screws, remove the broken handle, put now one in place, put back the 2 screws... done!! What I want other to know... is who with about 6 clicks from my home pc, I had the exact part i needed, ordered!!! I was dreading ordering this part so much because of all the hassle I have in getting to a website to order, and all the crap that goes with finding, the part....the ordering the part. This site was SOOOOO cool!! The handle had been broke for almost a year, and didn't want to replace it because of the usual hassle that goes with 'The Hunt". If I had know that Parts Select was so good about this, I would have had the new one installed 3 days after the original handle broke!! And shipping was SO FAST!! Replaced Infinite control switch in just a few minutes. Unfortunately the new switch had a lose terminal that was not supposed to be in the switch that came from the factory that way. I connected the switch, turned it on, and it instantly shorted the switch out. At that point the lose terminal was real easy to see.

Removed burned out burner, replaced new burner tested works fine

move out the range. unplug the unit remove 6 screws of back cover and pull it off. open oven remove racks then pull out 4 screws inside oven and the element will come right out. place new element in place insert the 4 screws and racks close oven. then go to the back insert the two wires and place cover over unit re insert other 6 screws plug in range move back into place and clean up you are finish

I unplugged the stove and removed two screws on bottom of stove top (above oven door) one screw holding burner bracket in place. Took one wire off at a time and hooked to new burner, tightened all screws back down.
