TEF360MXDSA Tappan Range - Instructions

First I turned off the electical supply to the oven.I unscrewed the nut bolts on both sides of the baking element and pulled the wires through. Disconnected the wires of old element, then connected the wires of the new element. Pushed wires back and connected the nut bolts to the back of the oven.The new element did not come with new screws so I used the old screws to connect the new element. The only problem is that after installing the new element my oven still does not work. It doesnt get any heat. Not sure what went wrong.

The repair took less time than finding the model number. After unplugging the range and allowing it to cool I disconnected the element (2 screws), went online and found Part Select ordered the element and saved $16.00 dollars over the least expensive local shop, I was amazed at how fast the element arrived, I believe it was 4 days from order to my door. I went to my local hardware store for some new connectors for the wire, put them on and plugged in the element fastened down the two screws and went back to baking cookies. The element was well and safely packed and came in perfect condition. It works like a charm. Thank You

ordered new heating element, arrived promptly as expected, compared new heating element to old one and it matched in size only diameter a little different, removed two sheet metal screws holding element in place and pulled out element to expose conductors and removed them with screwdriver. Installed conductors on new heating element slid into holes and installed screws, turned power back on(first step is to turn off power) turned on oven to preheat and she worked like a new one. I removed the 2 screws, making sure not to drop the wires attached. Took off old wires ,then put new wires on new element, screwed it back into place and it was working. sooooo easy!!

turn off power to oven at breaker box
remove screws holding bake element in
pulls wires off old element
put wires on new element
put the screws back in
turn the power back on

slid the old one out and slid the new one in.turned the unit on and it works

open the door take out the racks.unscrew the holding screws for the element,pull it away from the back wall of the oven. take off the wires carefully and reverse the procedure

Remove the old one and replaced the new one. It was very simple, fast, and easy.

really easy unscrew the element from the back of the oven unclip remove old one slide clip on the new one and screw back to back of oven. Took 10 minutes or less

With the stove pulled out and unplugged, There are 4 square head screws to pull a metal plate off the back of the range. Once that is off, the infinite switches are in line and can be removed with a philips head screw driver/bit. I placed each wire onto the new switch as I removed them from the old, to avoid any confusion. The entire repair took less than 10 minutes. Incredibly easy.

Repair was so easy, Just remove the two screws one on each end of element slowly pull element towards you till you see the ends. Carefully
unplug the wires and then reinstall the new one and put screwes back in and you are all done

unfastened clip at back of oven w/screwdriver. Pulled out the plug, unplugged the element. Plugged in new element, pushed back into place, refastened clip to hold it in place at back of oven.. Done

Turn off the power to the range. Remove oven racks. Remove the two screws and slowly pull the element out being careful not to pull the wires off. Remove the two wires then attach them to the new element. Push the element back in place, put the screws back in, turn on the power and turn on oven to make sure the problem is fixed

1.Take no chances. Turn off power at main breaker box (Range). 2 2. 2. 2.Remove inside grills then pull damaged element forward to expose wires and screws. 3. Use nut driver or phillips screwdriver to undo both screws. 4. Remove burnt out element then replace it new one. Make sure both sides are firmly pushed onto the wire terminals before tightening screws. Replace grills. close oven door then turn breaker at breaker box on again.
