TEF360MXDSG Tappan Range - Instructions

Turned off power to appliance removed the screws connecting the element. Disconnected the wires from the old element connected the new element replaced the screws and tightened turned power on turned power back on heated oven to be sure it worked. Very simple to do.

I had to replace the switch on one of the large elements. It could and should have been a quicker repair if there would have been some installation/wiring instructions included with the part. Other than that the repair went well.

this bake element has two special Hex style screws, securing it in place, but a nut driver worked just as well. remove the baking racks, and then loosen the two hex screws. slowly pull the element out of the back wall and then disconnect the electric leads. reinstall by doing then the opposite action. could not have be simpler.

All I had to do was loosen the screws, pull out electrical hookup on both ends, hookup new heating element to elecric and screw em into place. That's it, super easy and I got the part in 2 day : )

After doing without the oven for a week or so we decided to turn to the internet and try doing the repair ourselves. We are not mechanically inclined/fix it yourself kind of people. This really was easy. Just detach the old element and attached the new one. A couple of bolts and snapping one out and then the new one in. Very simple

Turned off range/oven breaker. Opened the oven door. Removed two 5/16 hex head screws. Pulled bake element forward and removed the two slip on electrical connections from old bake element and put them on the new one. Replaced the two screws, closed the oven door, and proceeded to overhaul the kitchen faucet.

after pulling away from wall and unplugging remove 5 screws in upper back panel lift off being careful of sharp edges if part of lens is still in hole push it out towards the front insert lens from front of unit slide light assy over pin on back of lens replace back panel plug in range push back against wall check for level you're done

I watched a YouTube video. Than it was easy. I turned the breaker to range off. Took the nuts off. Uncliped the part. Plug new part in. Put screws back in. Flipped on the breaker. And it works wonderfull.

Turn off the power to the range. Remove oven racks. Remove the two screws and slowly pull the element out being careful not to pull the wires off. Remove the two wires then attach them to the new element. Push the element back in place, put the screws back in, turn on the power and turn on oven to make sure the problem is fixed

1.Take no chances. Turn off power at main breaker box (Range). 2 2. 2. 2.Remove inside grills then pull damaged element forward to expose wires and screws. 3. Use nut driver or phillips screwdriver to undo both screws. 4. Remove burnt out element then replace it new one. Make sure both sides are firmly pushed onto the wire terminals before tightening screws. Replace grills. close oven door then turn breaker at breaker box on again.

Undid 2 screw nuts holding the element to the back wall, with a 1/4" socket. Pulled off the two wires, pushed them onto the new element. Screwed the two nuts back on the rear wall. Done! Easy, worked 1st try.

I followed the instruction on the web site and the installation was just like the instruction. Very quick and easy. I was so happy and now I am baking up a storm again.

The repair took less time than finding the model number. After unplugging the range and allowing it to cool I disconnected the element (2 screws), went online and found Part Select ordered the element and saved $16.00 dollars over the least expensive local shop, I was amazed at how fast the element arrived, I believe it was 4 days from order to my door. I went to my local hardware store for some new connectors for the wire, put them on and plugged in the element fastened down the two screws and went back to baking cookies. The element was well and safely packed and came in perfect condition. It works like a charm. Thank You

ordered new heating element, arrived promptly as expected, compared new heating element to old one and it matched in size only diameter a little different, removed two sheet metal screws holding element in place and pulled out element to expose conductors and removed them with screwdriver. Installed conductors on new heating element slid into holes and installed screws, turned power back on(first step is to turn off power) turned on oven to preheat and she worked like a new one. First I turned off the electical supply to the oven.I unscrewed the nut bolts on both sides of the baking element and pulled the wires through. Disconnected the wires of old element, then connected the wires of the new element. Pushed wires back and connected the nut bolts to the back of the oven.The new element did not come with new screws so I used the old screws to connect the new element. The only problem is that after installing the new element my oven still does not work. It doesnt get any heat. Not sure what went wrong.
