3621XRA Magic Chef Range - Instructions

Turned off all power to range.
Removed two Philip head screws
Gentle pulled unit Element forward
Removed two push on connectors
(Do not let wires fall back into oven holes)

Reversed the process.

Removed two screws and disconnected the element. Reconnected the new element and reinstalled the screws

Removed the old element by removing 2 screws and disconnecting two solderless connectors. One solderless connector was melted in two. I had to remove the rear panel and cut the old connector off and crimped on a new solderless connector. The time required was lengthened due to trip to the hardware store to get a new connector. While I was fixing the oven element my wife replaced the oven light.

Replaced drip pan. Notch did not want to match the burner notch. Was a close fit bit with a little pressure made it work.

Unplugged the range. Took our the oven shelves. Unscrewed the bars holding the broken bake element to the back of the oven wall. Gently pulled out the wiring to which the bake element is attached. Slipped the ends of the broken bake element off the ending on the wiring. Then slipped the ends of the new bake element over the ends on the wiring. Then pushed the wiring with attached bake element back into their position behind the oven wall and attached the bars holding the bake element to the back of the oven wall. This is really easy because it is exactly like the on-line video, for I am a 75 year old female with little technical experience.

un-plug device from outlet for safety first and then remover all top panel after screws lower two side small screws. actually is not selector problem. It was burner switch problem for 6 inches element.

Pulled range out from cabinet-wall to get to back side, everthing was clearly exposed tlhen. Just a matter of installing new fixture, putting back on, reconnected power source - put range back in proper place.

Unplug the 220 cord..remove rear metal back ( 7-8 Ph/screws)... disconnect the red & yellow connectors from the back of the lower element. Remove-the-lift-off Oven door. Remove the two Ph/screws (one on either end of the element) At the very rear of the oven. Install the new element and reverse the about to reassemble.

remove burned out eye, replaced with new eye.new eye does not fit exactally correct onto splash pan as point on end of steel " rod " not pointed enough to slip into mate on splash pan

Thursday afternoon the part arrived! Saturday, we opened the oven, took out the old unit, and put in the new. It worked fine! Thanks again!!

I can't believe how easy this was to fix! I amazingly found the part on-line at PartSelect website. I love that you pick part by size, color, etc. I didn't have a part or model number, so this made it super easy! I ordered the part and got it in the mail within 2 days....YEAH! I got my screwdriver out and attached the peice, slid the drawer back in and shazam! it was fixed! Thank you PartSelect and kudos to the person that set up the way you order your parts......awesome! Turned off power circuit to oven. Removed old element by unscrewing two nuts attaching unit to back of oven. Used pliers to help release electrical connections at both ends of element. Re-attached connections to new unit. Screwed nuts back into place. Turned power back on and cooked dinner. Total time for repair was less than 5 minutes.

Removed what was left of the original clips. Pressed in the new clips and snapped in the themostat blub

This wasn't much of a repair -- rather a replacement of a simple abused part. At the same time, PartSelect allowed me to order what I needed after two failed attempts to buy replacements that would fit the range. I'll remember PartSelect if we need parts for other older appliances in the rental units.

Piece of cake. Removed the Phillips screw with screwdriver, placed new one on the slide and used old screw to screw it in place. Drawer does not lean to one side anymore.
