Remove burned out element & replace.
I watched the video intructing the installation of the bake element. The one thing I would suggest is to remove the oven door as this allows someone with a shorter reach to do the repair.

Oven element was burned out.
First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires attached to the element, reattached to new element and replaced screws. This was very easy, I was glad I did not call the repairman.

Burned out baking element
Removed old coil by unscrewing the element and unplugging it from the wires, adjusted the terminal slightly and plugged in the wire from the new element.
It was a very simple process and would have taken me less time if I wasn't so old and couldn't bend easily!

lower oven heating element failed
Power off by unplugging appliance!
Remove the old element by removing one screw from each of the old element anchoring tabs.
Pull element away from back of oven approx. 3 inches to expose spade lug electrical connectors.
With the pliers, gently seperate the spade connector from the element connecting tab.
Remove old element.
Install new element in reverse order.
Plug appliance in, set oven to warm/low heat to test and burn off any metal preserveative from elemnt surface.
Check operation by allowing to heat for < 30 seconds. Oven element should start to warm and can be confirmed by breifly placing hand a few inches away from element to detect heat.
Turn oven off if satisfactory. Reset time on oven clock. Finis!!!!

Our oven quit heating over Thanksgiving. Only the broil element still worked.
I figured there couldn't be much else but the element that was bad, so I searched for "Magic Chef stove parts" on Google and found your site. Your site described the location for the model number of my stove, and also gave troubleshooting tips. I verified the element was bad with an ohmmeter and ordered the part from you guys. It arrived early, and installed with 2 screws and 2 push-on terminals. Stove works great now! I'm a web programmer and I think your website is very intuitive and useful. The information like model numbers, troubleshooting, parts measurements and extensive parts pictures is perfect for your customers. I found the correct diagnosis and part quickly, and ordered without a problem. Thanks - and keep up the good work! Mike

heating element was burned out
I am really impressed with partselect.com. I ordered the part on a Saturday evening after my oven quit. By Monday evening I had an email showing it shipped and received it on Wednesday. The fit was perfect and the fix was quick.
