oven only got to to 170 degrees
The bake element in this oven is covered by a tray but after locating the screws for that and removing I could see the element was burnt so I just removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires...) then just reversed the procedure to install. Don't forget to unplug the unit first.

lower baking element was fried and no longer worked
Turn of power to the range. The element lies beneath a metal cover. The cover is held down by two screws in each of the back cornors. The burner element is held by a screw in the the back and by two screws near the front. Replacing the element was a snap. With the screws removed, pull on the element until the connecting wires are exposed. Pull the wires from the element and attatch to new element. Replace screws, cover etc. Turn on power and note the time it takes to reach a preset temp. You may detect a slight oder form a coating on the new element. .

Failed Bake Element
First of all, let me say how "Not Handy" I am when it comes to these things. I decided to give this part a try after my oven decided to fail on Thanksgiving Day, so I ordered the part. It arrived on time as promised and packaged very well. The on-line parts breakout and testimony from the other buyers were so helpful. I had our oven back up and running in less than 10 minutes.

One thing I would also recommend is that you burn the element once installed for at least 15 minutes to get the newness smell off of it and then it won't permeate your food items.

Thanks, Parts Select! You saved me over $900.00; the price it was going to cost me to buy a new oven. :)

Replace old Element
The new element wiring placements were totally different from the old element. Lucky for me the lettering printed on the terminals for each pole was the same as on the old one. It was just a matter of matching up each terminal pole lettering. The instructions that came with the new element were of no help at all. Youtube was my best helper.

F5 fault code kept appearing
I installed the new oven sensor but the problem continued. So I ordered a new relay board and installed it. Still no luck. So I pulled the new board back out and started trouble shooting it using my electronic background. I discovered the new board was using a pin for L2 that had no exit on the backplane, so I removed it and installed it where I believed it should go. Reinstalled the power relay board and presto. My oven is working lie a champ. Louis

bad burner
My dual zone burner would trip my breaker anytime i tried to turn it on. All the other burners would work fine. I searched online and found a way to test my burner, which was shorted or grounded out. I purchased a new burner from the site...It was as cheap or cheaper than other sites. It showed up a few days quicker than i was expecting..I also replaced the switch to the burner, just as a precaution and to save time since i already had the top glass off of my burners....EASY JOB!

Dual Surface Element went out
Followed the instructions in the video provided by PartSelect, which was very accurate. They only problem I have encountered is that the wiring from the old element compared to the new element do not match up 100%. I had to call Whirlpool today and schedule a Tech to come out and see if they can resolve the problem. Right now, when the burner is turned on, both the inner and outer elements turn on.
