YKERS205TS5 KitchenAid Range - Instructions

I watched a couple of online videos to determine what could be wrong with my oven and how to fix it. I ordered the part and it only took a half day to arrive at my door. After removing 3 screws in the panel on the bottom of the oven to expose the bake element, I pulled the element from the wiring. Even though I was careful, one of the wires slipped away and could not be fished back out. So I removed a few screws from the back of the oven, easily found the wire and connected it to the new element. It was a pretty easy fix that would have been even easier if the wire had not slipped into the back of the oven. I am a retired female, and I strongly recommend saving a chunk of money by doing this job yourself.

Removed stove from slot in wall. Bent rear left leg would not unscrew due to bent metal bracket. Used hacksaw to cut out leg, then straightened metal bracket with small hammer and was able to screw new leg in and adjust height by using level on stove before reinserting stove its slot. Recheck level after pushing back in place and adjust front legs if necessary. If not for bent metal receiving bracket, would have taken much less time. Still easy tho. R'cvd part in two days. Very quick.

Turn off power--Remove bottom cover inside the oven---Undo three screws holding broken element in place--Remove element by pulling out ,and carefully detach from power connection.Reverse the procedure with the new element.In doing this myself I saved $90 for a repairman to come and diagnose the problem, and another $90 to bring back and install the element which cost $62

Just like the video showed. Removed the pan, removed the old element and installed the new. Just that simple.

Removed 2 screws from the cover with a nut driver found the element was broken. Installed new element by removing 2 screws and installed the new bake heating element. Most ovens do not have the cover like Maytag. The new part arrived 2 days after ordered the oven is working great.

Easy change! Two screws in front and grounding strap screw-lifted out and turned stove top upside down on table. three more screws for burner element and then reinstall with first two screws and grounding strap screw.

changing the part itself was easy, but the sheet metal covering the whole back of the oven was difficult to remove because of some screws that were stripped. The new sensor solved the problem.

Changing out the baking element was fairly easy. Shut off power at breaker. Remove the baking trays and the 2 screws at the bottom of the inside back of the oven. There are 3 screws to remove the element. Slide out the connectors and replace. Additionally, the baking element blowing resulted in a blown relay inside the control unit. Unfortunately it is an all in one unit that includes the touchpad PCU board as well. To replace it you must remove the upper rear panel off the back of the oven, remove the electrical connectors, remove the 4 screws and the unit. Put the new unit back in and go in reverse. Power up to test.

First, I received the element in two days. My local repair store said it would take them a minimum of 10 days to get the part. My husband replaced the element after watching the youtube "how to" video. He knew exactly what to do and did it in about 30 minutes. We were using the oven the next day. Thanks!

Looked up on-line the error problem and what part I needed to fix it. Part arrived very quickly and everything was going fine until I realized the stove had two sensors. Replaced the top sensor now I am getting an error on the bottom sensor. Maybe I replaced the wrong one. I will replace the bottom sensor with the one I took out and see if that does the trick. It was necessary to take the decorative glass and metal safety panel off using a screwdriver in order to get to the frame that holds the safety glass. It was hard to slide the new glass into the frame without help from a second person to hold the other pane in place.This was an easy repair to make I would just suggest having 2 people to hole things in place while replacing screws.

My husband never got around to fixing it so I decided to try it myself. Repair video described it perfectly. Romove bottom panel covering baking element by taking out two screws at the back. Take 4 screws from bottom of the baking element; pull baking element loose from back. Attach new element to back and use needle nose pliers to squeeze connections together lightly. Replace screws. Then slide bottom panel back on top; attach screws at the back. Done!

After we got the part in the mail my husband put it on and shortened the wires and put new plugs on the ends of the wires and we had to get a new plug put it on and it was fixed.

First I took the door off and outside to dump the glass in the trash which I had some Kevlar gloves so not to get cut. Removed the three screws on the bottom trim piece and the two on the sides remove the outside face glass next remove the four screws that hold the next glass. This glass is in a frame there is bent tab on one corner unbend open frame and install inner glass close frame rebend tab and reinstall all the parts.
