YKERI201PW3 KitchenAid Range - Instructions

Pulled the oven away from the wall, unplugged the oven. Unscrewed the back panel(2 screws)that covers the pigtail connection. Pulled the two wires that attached to the heating element. Inside the oven i removed the two screws holding the element in place and removed old element. Put the new element in place and returned screws. The two wires clipped effortlessly on the back, returned cover and screws and plugged the oven back in. Tested the oven and returned it to its position, reset the clock and done.

I found a video on YouTube and watched it showing how to change the element - then I performed the repair based on the instructions and recommendations in the video. The video had some good recommendations and cautions that helped ensure a successful repair.

Removed lower oven rack. Unplugged stove,removed 2 screws holding element in place,pulled element forward unplugged 2 wires. Reversed proc. To reinstall . Very simple. Parts were here in less than 24 hrs using standard shipping. Very good service

Unplug oven, open oven door wide,pull out racks, clean reside that old element left. I used power drill with phillips head bit,pulled out old element, and disconnected wires from clips. Connected new element to wires, and Presto.Turned bake element to 300 deg.and waited only to see it red and ready to cook.

Unplugged stove, opened door and removed two bolts with a phillips screwdriver. Pulled out old element and pulled off the two wire leads. Replaced with new element and reversed all steps...wallaaaaa.

I was 100% happy with the whole process! The part arrived on schedule, it was exactly what I wanted! The best part of the story is I am a 77 year old lady whose husband was out of town and had never done this before. I could not have been happier with the process! I went to the source of power on the stove and noticed one of the terminals had come loose from the terminal block and had shorted out against the cover of the terminal junction. After prying the loose terminal off cover I ordered new terminal block and received it the 2nd day. I removed the old terminal block and replaced the part in about 10 minutes..Thank you Parts Select for your easy to find diagrams and quick delivery.

Remove the plug from outlet then shutoff gas. Remove the 10 screws hold the back panel of the oven. Unclip the connector of the temperature sensor from the main line. Pull the sensor straightout. Reverse the process install the new sensor. Couldn't be any easier. Oven working great. Calling in a reapairman would have cost $200 for parts and labor.

Looked up on-line the error problem and what part I needed to fix it. Part arrived very quickly and everything was going fine until I realized the stove had two sensors. Replaced the top sensor now I am getting an error on the bottom sensor. Maybe I replaced the wrong one. I will replace the bottom sensor with the one I took out and see if that does the trick. removed the two screws and unhooked the old heating element. I set the new element in place and attached the electrical leads and replaced the two screws and tested the oven.

Contrary to instructions(go thru front of oven) I had to pull out the range, remove two (2) screws from back chassis. At this point you pull out the connector, snap in new, reverse proceedure. Very simple. Hardest part is cleaning up debris generated by moving range.

move out the range. unplug the unit remove 6 screws of back cover and pull it off. open oven remove racks then pull out 4 screws inside oven and the element will come right out. place new element in place insert the 4 screws and racks close oven. then go to the back insert the two wires and place cover over unit re insert other 6 screws plug in range move back into place and clean up you are finish

The detection of the part and the replacement of the upper spray arm was quite easy, because of its unique shape and function, and also because it was easy to screw in place. I saved the web order page in case this part tends to deteriorate frequently, even though it is the first time it showed this problem since we purchased this appliance.

unscrew two screws..took old element out, put perfect fit new element in,screw two screws back in.

Easy change! Two screws in front and grounding strap screw-lifted out and turned stove top upside down on table. three more screws for burner element and then reinstall with first two screws and grounding strap screw.
