Pulled range out from the wall. Unplugged cord from outlet. Removed old knob, removed two phillips screws a very top of chrome trim, removed six nut-head screws from back to reveal the switches...removed two set screws from the front at knob base. Visually checked to make sure wiring post of new switch matched the old one. There was enough slack in the wiring to remove one wire at a time and connect it to the new switch in its appropriate place. Put new switch in the panel and secured with the two set screws. Select the bushing that would take up the slack for the old knob to fit on the new switch stem. Held new stem at its base with pliers and used another pair of pliers to snap the stem at appropriate length. (The new stem could not be broken off short enough to have the knob as flush to the panel as the other knobs...this was the only negative factor in the repair) Replaced nut-head screws and phillips screws. I was especially pleased with the quick delivery of the part...even without special shipping rates I received the part in less than 18 hours from the time I ordered it online!

Pull out oven and unplug from 220 outlet. Remove rear upper/lower cover (4 screws), Remove two wires from rear of element. From front, open oven door, remove two screws and pull out old element.
Install new element by reversing above sequence. Then test and push oven back in place. Easy!

Turn off power at the circuit breaker before working on electric thing.

Removed oven door and shelves for free access to element. Unscrewed the old element, pulled it out, removed the clips and removed the element. Reversed these steps to install the new element. Tested the element to ensure it worked.

First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires,held wires one at a time so tehy wouln't slip back into rear holes in oven, slid off connector tabs and pushed on to replacement unit...)

I unscrewed the two screws inside the oven, then i pulled the oven away from the wall and unscrewed the protective shield, and undid the wiring. Then i removed the element. Once the new one arrived, i pretty much just did the same thing in reverse. vwa-lah... fixed!

Disconnecting/reconnecting the "clips" was the only difficult part because they did not slip off/on easily. Replaced the element in the oven, replaced the screws...good to go!

Best part of buying from Parts Select was that they shipped the part the same day I ordered it, which was the Friday after Christmas. Competitor would not have shipped till the following Monday and we needed the oven ASAP!

took 2 screws out that held element in, pulled old element out of oven wall, unhooked the wires. Hooked the wires to the new element, pushed it back into the oven wall, replaced the 2 screws.

The very first thing we did was turned the circuit breaker off and unplugged the range.
My husband removed the back panel and unplugged the switch. Drew a diaghram of the color coded wires. When we received the new one he broke the extension bar off to fit the knob, plugged it in and we were back in business. It was very easy for my husband as he is a mechanic (millwright). However, if you are mechanically inclined it is an easy fix.

Easy Repair. Remove the storage draw under the oven. It lifts out. Lift oven door off of hinges. Remove 3 screws & unhook the spring. Reverse the procedure with the new hinge. Good as new.

Before ordering, I took the element out to make sure I could do it. A flashlight was helpful.

I flipped off the circuit breakers to the stove, removed the racks and lifted off the oven door. Not having a nutdriver or socket set, I used a 6' crescent wrench to remove the two screws which hold the element to the back of the oven. I carefully pulled the element out until the spade connectors to the wires were exposed. I wiggled the connectors apart. I had pliers handy, but didn't need them.

I connected the new element to the wires and gently pushed the two connected prongs through their holes, trying not to disturb the insulation. I put a little WD-40 on the screws so they would go in easier. After tightening the screws with the crescent wrench, I replaced the racks and door. I flipped the circuit breaker back on and reset the clock. It works as good or better than new.

First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place, I then pulled the element out about three inches, and it shorted out on the main panel of the back of the range. I then went to the breaker box and flipped the switch so I could tell my wife "Yes, I had turned the power off."

Disconnecting the two wires and reconnecting them was a simple operation after I cleaned my pants from the electrical short.

Re attaching the two-screw panes to hold the element in place finished the project.

1. Turned off power at the breaker box. Removed oven door from oven, and removed bake racks. Determined replacement element from PartSelect was correct. Inspected new element. Using meter, determined new element was OK via continuity test. Gathered all appropriate tools to do the job.
2. Using 1/4" nut driver, removed two retaining screws at back of oven that secure element
3. Pulled bad element out a few inches from oven back to reveal wires and spade connectors
4. Using screwdriver, pushed off electrical connectors from bad element and removed element
5. Inspected wires and connectors and determined them to be OK
6. Installed new element in reverse of above. Inspected oven controls and determined them to be OK. Turned on the breaker. Tested oven.
7. Baked a delicious chocolate cake

Easy

I turned off electric to the stove. In the oven, I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. After unpacking the new element, I placed it in the bottom of the oven, reconnected the two wires, and gently fed the wires back into the back of the oven. I then secured the new unit to the oven wall with the two screws.

I followed the easy instructions and everything went well. I had the new switch installed in about 30 minutes. My wires were different colors than on the instructions but it was still easy to figure out where the wires went on the new switch. Just do not be in a hurry and make sure you measure before you break off the extension bar. My knob fit on the new switch without any of the parts that came with the switch.
