My oven heating element caught fire
I removed the old element and replaced it with the one that I ordered from Parts Select after reading your easy to follow instructions. I'm a 62 year old woman and it really was quite easy. Just make sure all electric sources are disconnected the breaker is off and follow the directions. The repairman would have charged me a minimum of $225. I did it my self for $60.00.

oven heat element lit up and started the oven on fire
impossible to repair, I would need to dis-assemble at least half of every part of the stove to get to where the element plugs in.

Replace bake element ( lower )
1ST..Cut power at circuit breaker.
2ND..Using nut driver, remove two sheet metal nuts.
3RD..Gently tilt element upward and pull out until wire connectors show. There are two wires with flat connectors, use the vise grips to hold the wires so they don't slip back behind the wall of the oven, if they do, you will have to pull out the range from the wall and retrieve them! ( I used two surgical hemostats for this.)
4TH..disconnect the old element, connect the new one....
5TH..Gently slide element back in place, replace sheet metal nuts.
6TH..reset circuit breaker
2ND..Using nut driver, remove two sheet metal nuts.

Baking element burned through.
I shut off power at electrical box.
Then I removed 4 screws on back to expose connector enclosed in insulation.. It was not necessary as when I removed 2 screws in oven and pulled element out , the element came out far enough to disconnect easily and slip the element into electrical unit.
15 minutes start to finish..

the oven would not turn off and the brake element was red in one spot

Obsolete appliance parts missing

Bake Element burned in half
Turned breaker off to stove, removed two wire shelves, 1/4" nut driver to remove two screws, pulled wires and wire ends into oven area. Used long nose pliers to pull female clips off male clips on element. re-install female clips on wire to new element clips. slid wire and element ends back through opening in oven and re-attached element to back wall with screws and 1/4" nut driver. Turned breakers back on, turn oven switch on, element heat, replaced wire shelves, job complete, less than 15 minutes.

Oven would not heat, found that the lower element was broken
Removed the 2 screws that hold the element in place at the rear wall, disconnected the 2 stab on connectors, removed element. Replaced element in reverse order...done.

The bake element broke in half.
Removed the screws that held the element in place. Pulled the element away from the back of the oven and disconnected the two wires. Then connected the two wires onto the new element and screwed it into place.

Old element shorted out
Cut power to range and pulled stove away from wall. Removed 5 screws holding backplate on and 2 screws holding element in place. Unplugged old element and discarded, plugged in new element and reattached, replaced backplate and was done. No problems and no fuss. Took 5 minutes total.

the old bake element broke down
First I removed the two screws inside the oven tose hold the element in place. Then I pulled out the element and disconnected the old and install the new one , was really easy. Thanks

The element burned in half
Unplugged stove, removed 2 screws that held the element to the back wall of the stove. Pulled the element out a little bit, and removed the 2 wires from the element. Did just the opposite installing the new one.

Replace oven jeating element.
Turned off curciut breaker first!!!
Removed 2 screw inside oven on either side of heating element and 3 screw on the back of the oven to remove a cover. Unplugged element, plug new one in. Replaced screws and done!!
