Range burners would not light
Lift up work light cover. Remove lamp. Remove two screws from control panel. Lift up control panel. Pop out spark module from slots. Remove the 6 wires from module. Attach wires to new module - module has a diagram on it that shows where wires are attached. Push new module back into slots. Replace control panel cover, lamp, and work light. Now the burners light - the spark is MUCH stronger than before repair.

gas stove burner pans were beyond cleaning
I actually use my stove almost every day of every year and the burner pans on the gas stove were beyond cleaning and need replacement. The GE gas stove/oven is 13 yrs old and the burner pans have seen Ajax and the dishwasher and they were just looking pitted and old. So I looked online and found Part Select had a great price and ordered a new left and right burner pan for a great replacement price. Now my 13 yr old stove looks newer or I look like a better housekeeper. Thank you Part Select for the discount and the quick shipping of the correct parts. FYI....You can't buy these gas burner pans in the store.

The burner pans looked bad no matter how hard I tried to clean them.
I put in the new burner pans and they fit perfectly. They look great. I throw them in the dishwasher every day and they come out great.

Old and permanently dirty/rusted drip pans.
Replaced the drip pans with shiny new ones that make our 15 year old stove look very much better. Now we can get a few more years out of the old range.

Deflector oven/gas flame deflector replaced due to hole melted from glowbar igniter
Removed oven convection fan cover for more room to remove/replace lower oven bottom. Deflector is attached underneath oven bottom and you will need new self tapping sheet metal screws to replace old ones. My deflector actually had hole melted in it from glowbar igniter directly underneath it. Glowbar remains white hot until selected oven temp is reached...poorly designed.

Old burner pans
After 15 years, the burner pans were losing their coating. I looked up my oven's model number and google'd it online to see if there was any way I could get new ones. This site came up. I found replacement pans, ordered them, and they were delivered within a week. My stove looks like new again.

Replace Pans Due to moving in home
The replacement was very easy and the new pans updated the 10 yr old range. This should hold up until we purchase a new range.

Original grates accumulated some burned-on spills in 16 years.
The real effort was in finding a source that carried functional equivalents for the discontinued OEM grates. Fortunately, I kept searching when Hotpoint/GE and others said nothing was available and I tried partselect.com. While the replacements are not as heavy-gauge castings as the originals, they will do the job and look good. Online ordering went smoothly and shipping and delivery were prompt. I'm impressed, and have put partselect.com into my top-level bookmarks.

broken light socket
The only tool needed was a nutdriver to remove the lamp socket. I needed my head mounted light to see what I was doing, and everything went smoothly from there. Simple job.
