79045062401 Kenmore Range - Instructions

I had to replace the clock /power panel on the stove. It did not come with a face oover. Both installations were fairly east once the problem was diagnosed. The control part did not show a face plate not included, or needed. I had to reorder the overlay . The job came out perfect and my stove looks like new again.

ordered a new one and I put it inn.Pluged inn and I was ready to cook!

Unplugged range and cut wires on existing burner plug. Connected the replacement plug with the provided wire-nuts. Secured with provided shrink-wrap. Reattached burner plug to to range top, and plugged in the burner coil. Presto.

After trying to unscrew a plate on the side, I found that would NOT work at all, the side panel of the stove was behind it. I found a tab that cut-out on 3 sides just above the location of the recepticle, and simply bent that tab out, pulled out the old recepticle, slid in the new recipticle, and put in the screws and then bent back the tab. It was sooo easy once I found that. I repeated in on the other side.

Instructions included with terminal block assembly. Toughest part was to strip the insulator off of the old wires on the stove. I was originally going to just purchase one but after looking at the other terminal blocks and seeing the burnt insulation and some of the wire strands, I just replaced all 4. PartSelect customer sevice was very helpful to confirm the correct part number I needed for my stove.

Tilted the surface unit and proped it up with the metal arm then I unpluged the old 8"-surface element and replaced it with the new 8"-surface element that I purchased from PartSelect.com. I then lowered the surface unit turned the burner knob on and everything worked fine. Thanks PartSelect.com.

Very easy to repair! I removed the old burner and slid the new burner element in its place. It was as simple as that! No tools required. My one and only complaint would be that the old burner was slightly larger (within 1 inch or so) than the new one so the new one sits slightly crooked on the stove top. But it works just fine. The item also shipped very quickly. Within a day or two. I am very satisfied with the transaction overall.

Took 3 panels off to get to the electric block. Replaced electrical block and put it back together. Still no change.

prepared the parts as directions displayed, removed the heating coils and popped the hood on the range, simple curcit 2 wires in to the main harness for each coil. snip, plug and twist add heat wrap to seal the new conections and done very simple fix saved me buying another oven....for now

Easy as 1-2-3

used two flat bladed screw drivers to get under edge of switch.. pried one side up and unit popped loose... removed electric connection (three prong recep) and plugged in new switch ..pushed into hole and was done... approximately 3 minutes..

I mistakenly took the two screws out of the front piece above the oven. Except for that the time would have been maybe 10 minutes. The knobs all four came off easy and so did the retainer nuts and the six screws holding the metal plate. I took the old switch out after turning off the power. I had the new switch in one hand and removed one wire at a time from the old and put it on the new one. Put the parts back in place and turned the power on and turned the switch on. Works great! Saved about one hundred and thirty dollars from what the repair service charged last time.

Used a screw driver to loosen 2 screws and the pulled the tabs off the old element and installed the new element. I am probably the most "unhandy " guy in the world but this was a snap. I am as surprised as anyone.

Square drive screws used throughout the oven since its manufactured in Canada. Shut power down to the range. Element fastener plate removed and 2 electrical terminals loosened. Used a pair of hemostats to hold on to the wires so as not to lose them to the interior back of the oven which was loaded with insulation. Connected the 2 wires to the new element, screwed the element fastening plate with element back to the back of the oven wall. Turned power back on and voila, I was back in business.

Gasket has pins that line up with tiny holes around the perimeter of door. Just pull the old gasket off, and snap new one ( with pins) in . Used the butter knife to push ends of gasket in hole at bottom of door. Took about 2 minutes to complete and looks AWESOME! simple. simple, simple!
