Turn off power at the circuit breaker before working on electric thing.

Removed oven door and shelves for free access to element. Unscrewed the old element, pulled it out, removed the clips and removed the element. Reversed these steps to install the new element. Tested the element to ensure it worked.

First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires,held wires one at a time so tehy wouln't slip back into rear holes in oven, slid off connector tabs and pushed on to replacement unit...)

I unscrewed the two screws inside the oven, then i pulled the oven away from the wall and unscrewed the protective shield, and undid the wiring. Then i removed the element. Once the new one arrived, i pretty much just did the same thing in reverse. vwa-lah... fixed!

Basically very easy. Be sure to follow suggested safe practices - DO shut off the circuit breaker to the unit BEFORE starting (I didn't to start with, shorted out the heater leads - dumb on my part). Just removed the burned out element by removing the 2 screws using a nutdriver, pulled the element out, and slipped off the crimp fittings. Reverse steps to install replacement. The crimp fittings were stubborn coming off the old one, so it took longer than expected. Otherwise, easy peasy.

Removed the door. Unscrewed the hinge from front of oven. Took broiler drawer out. Unhooked the spring. Removed hinge. Screwed new hinge in. Rehooked the spring. Slid oven door back on hinges. Mission accomplished. Oven door works like a champ. Wife happy.

i slid the oven out unplugged it !! , removed back cover with a nut driver, removed the two retaining nuts from the old bake element ,opened oven door removed two nuts that hold bake element to the back of the oven , installed new bake element then attached wires in the back of oven to the new element re installed retaining screws inside oven , check to make sure screws that hold power cord wires to the over are TIGHT !! i then installed rear cover then plugged in the oven it worked great !!

1)Unscrewed old baking element from wall of oven
2)Detached old baking element from wires
3)Attached new baking element to wires
4)Screwed new baking element to wall of oven
5)Turned on oven

Disconnecting/reconnecting the "clips" was the only difficult part because they did not slip off/on easily. Replaced the element in the oven, replaced the screws...good to go!

Best part of buying from Parts Select was that they shipped the part the same day I ordered it, which was the Friday after Christmas. Competitor would not have shipped till the following Monday and we needed the oven ASAP!

Flipped off the circuit breaker first. Unscrewed the two screws holding the element in place. Pulled out about 4-5 inches. Tried several times to pull apart the connections, finally got 'em - don't give up (I must have weak fingers). Then plugged in the new element, shoved the wires back in, screwed it back in place, flipped circuit breaker back on, turned the oven on.... made brownies (o:

First unplugged it. Then removed everything in side for easy access. Took screws out 2 of them. Had to pull to removed elemnet . That took a while. Should have tried removing other screws or at less loosen them. It went in easy. And lift off we had red burner. hey..

Removed two screws and removed the oven elelent. One wire was not through the back of the stove. Ordered new element anyway. Slid stove out (slide-in model). Unplugged power. Removed two covers protecting wires on back of stove. Found wire for oven element. Had to cut and strip end of wire and use new blade clip. Crimped new clip to wire and inserted into oven through back of stove. Replaced covers. Plugged oven element to wires and tried out oven. WORKED ! Saved new oven element for next time. Difficulty encounted was lack of knowledge on where stove was screwed into counter-top and what size blade clip to buy. It always helps to have a dog 3" away just itching to lend a paw.

I looked for a new terminal locally, but no one had s terminal that would fit a 40-year old range. I went on line to PartSelect and could not find my model range, so I looked through all the terminals listed on the website (about 500) but found only one that was close to mine. Mounting holes did not match, but it had 3 connectors with 220 capability, so I ordered it. I requested express shipping by UPS and thought I paid for the extra charge. When I got notification of shipment. I saw it was via ground. It went from Louisville to Jacksonville to Clearwater, FL. I ordered it on Thursday night and received it the following Tuesday night. Meanwhile, we had no stove to cook on. When the part came, it took two days to get the contractor back to our condo. He drilled new holes on the mounting box and jerry-rigged the wiring to make it fit. The range is now working, but I was disappointed in the delay in shipping which I agreed to express shipping.

1. Turned off power at the breaker box. Removed oven door from oven, and removed bake racks. Determined replacement element from PartSelect was correct. Inspected new element. Using meter, determined new element was OK via continuity test. Gathered all appropriate tools to do the job.
2. Using 1/4" nut driver, removed two retaining screws at back of oven that secure element
3. Pulled bad element out a few inches from oven back to reveal wires and spade connectors
4. Using screwdriver, pushed off electrical connectors from bad element and removed element
5. Inspected wires and connectors and determined them to be OK
6. Installed new element in reverse of above. Inspected oven controls and determined them to be OK. Turned on the breaker. Tested oven.
7. Baked a delicious chocolate cake

I turned off electric to the stove. In the oven, I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. After unpacking the new element, I placed it in the bottom of the oven, reconnected the two wires, and gently fed the wires back into the back of the oven. I then secured the new unit to the oven wall with the two screws.

My dealer was unable to find the part even with a model number. Your accurate drawings allowed me to select correct part. It was a perfect replacement in every way and cheaper (by $10) than the dealer. Also quicker.
