Removed the two screws and pulled out the bake element. Then plugged in the new element and replaced the screw. Easy

Unplugged the stove. Unscrewed the element. opened the rear cover to reach wires. Passed wires through the slot and connected the element. Screwed the element in place. Reinstalled the rear cover. Plugged the stove and pushed it back to place. Tested the oven, it worked.

I read the "easy to repair" story after I ordered my part and I felt like I coud do this on my own. (Female not much experience in repairs) I shut off circuit breaker...proceeded to take out element...could not get it to easiler come off...so I made the mistake of cutting the wire because it looked like that's what I needed to do. WORD TO THE WISE...there are clamps that actually pull off the element..just need to pull a little. So my "easy" project was made more difficult because I didn't know this up front. Otherwise it would have been a breeze. I had to go to the hardware store and but new clamps and attach to the cut wire. Good news is my oven is now working and Parts.com was fast, cheaper than the GE parts place and great service.

first i unplugged the stove to disconnect all power. next itried using pliers to unscrew the screws and was having a hard time so hubby got the adjustable wrench and it was much easier. after taking out the two screws, i pulled the element out about three inches and disconnected the element from the two wires that hold it in place. then i snapped the new element in place just as the old one was and reattached the element to the stove using the two screws. after assuring that element was secure, i turned my oven on to 300 degrees and voila!!! we're cookin again!!!

the only challenging thing realizing that the screws in the back weren't for a screw driver, they were for a very small wrench. Since I didn't have such a tool, I just used vice grips. It all went well though. The oven currently heats to 400 degrees in 7.5 min. I am quite happy.

Very well, I made a mistake with the model #. So I had to return and reorder .

Took out the hexagon screws, used pliers to pull the connecting ends apart, slid in the new element in to the connecting slots, reattached to screws, turned on the oven to see if it would heat up and it did. It was really easy. I had waited for a week to get the part from my local Sears parts house. You sent it out and I had it in 3 days. They still don't have the part. Thanks so much.

Uplugged the oven and undid the back contact cover, removed the nuts inside the oven and slid out the element. Pushed the new element into place and secured it. Attached the contacts and replaced the cover. Plugged it in and got cookin'.

orderd a replacement part. recieved it two days later then that evening installed it. there was a video online to show how to replace it. very useful if your not a do it yourselfer.

You literally saved our Christmas from a disaster! Four days before Christmas our bake element gave out and we discovered it had split. Removed oven door & shelves. Removed the 2 mounting screws & compared parts to verify I ordered the right one, then plugged it right in! Managed to drop & lose one of the screws while re-installing them. Got a stainless sheet metal screw from the hardware store that fits, but will probably order an exact replacement because the size & thread are slightly different. All in all, other than losing the screw, it was a quick, easy task.

Very easy repair. Part came wrong the first time (my fault for ordering the wrong one). Called and ordered the correct one after a closer match to the original part. Delivered much quicker than promised (one day) and installation very easy. Will use this site for all future repairs.

I watched the video on the website then installed the part. In fact, I watched the video twice because I could not believe it was that easy. You can not do any better than PartSelect. We were able to purchase the part and replace it for under $25. We took off the oven door and installed the new element in under 10 minutes.
