First I unplugged the stove. I then removed the two screws that held the element in place. I then pulled the element out about four inches to expose the connection. I disconnected the two wires, removed the element and replaced it with the new one. I then reassembled the oven in reverse order. It was very simple.

removed two bolts on the inside of the oven, disconnected the two electrical connections in back which were a little set so I had to use pliers and removed old element. Reversed procedure to install new element.

The >15 minutes includes vacuuming out the oven.

partselect.com deliver was extremely fast and the part was packed securely. We would order from them again without a problem.

Turned off circuit breaker, removed the two screws, pulled out the wires, unhooked the connections and hooked up the new element. Put the two screws back in, turned on the power and it worked! So, so easy! I wouldn't have attempted it had it not been for the other stories associated with the part I purchased.

I removed the 2 screwws inside the oven cavity and pulled the element towards me. I unplugged the wires from the element and plugged in the new one and secured it in place with the 2 screws.

Shut off electrical supply to stove.Remove 2 screws.
Slide element out enough to remove connectors from element.
Position new element.Slide connectors onto new element.
Slide element back into position.Replace 2 screws.Turn on electrical supply.

Turned off the breaker to the stove, removed oven racks, used small pair of plyers to remove bolts (2) holding defective element in place. Pulled (2) wires that had a snap connection apart. Old element was not removed. Connected (2) snap wires, pushed them back into the oven wall, used plyers to re-connect the element to oven. Installation DONE!
Turned on breaker and then the oven; we are now baking again.

It was real easy all I had to do was turn the breaker off,Undo two srews and disconnect the two wires. Then repeated the process to install

Took out the hexagon screws, used pliers to pull the connecting ends apart, slid in the new element in to the connecting slots, reattached to screws, turned on the oven to see if it would heat up and it did. It was really easy. I had waited for a week to get the part from my local Sears parts house. You sent it out and I had it in 3 days. They still don't have the part. Thanks so much.

After removing the screws holding the element in I disconnected the wires and attached alligator clips to the wires to keep them from pulling back inside the holes. I would have had to pull the stove out and removed some covers if they disappeared through the holes. After getting the part number off of the old element, I ordered a new element from Partselect.com and received the new one in less the a week. Reinstalling the new element took about 5 minutes.

Removed oven shelves (30 seconds). Removed 2 screws holding broken element to oven (2 minutes). Pulled broken element assembly out & removed 2 wires attached to element (1 minute). Connected wires to new element (just push them into place) and mounted new element with the 2 screws (1 1/2 minutes). Turned on oven element to test & since I was so tired from all of this 5-minute activity, I rested.

First I switched the fuse to the oven had no power and then I removed the old element and wiped down the inside with a damp towel.
I then attached the new element and then used the screws to attach the element firmly into place.
I then restored power by switching the fuse back and then burned the element to remove and chemicals and then done

Very easy repair. Part came wrong the first time (my fault for ordering the wrong one). Called and ordered the correct one after a closer match to the original part. Delivered much quicker than promised (one day) and installation very easy. Will use this site for all future repairs.

Inspected bake element. Found void. Ordered new bake element from Parts Select. Price was very reasonable. Part came the next day. Stove was fixed in 5 minutes. Great place to get appliance parts. Saved over $100 if repairman was involved.

Well...you'll notice in other tools I put Tweezers. Now you really don't need tweezers if you do it right in the first place. Here's what I did: 1) unscrewed the nuts that hold the element in on the back of the unit. 2) Then pulled the terminals out of the holes in the back of the oven. OOPS...there were sparks as the right terminal wire hit the metal frame of the back of the oven. Scared me. I jumped. the terminal wire burned/broke off and fell back into the hole. Yep...Too late I remembered that the VERY first step of this repair is 1)CUT OFF THE POWER TO THE OVEN. I repeat...THE FIRST STEP IS TO CUT OFF THE POWER TO THE OVEN. I couldn't reach the wire with the needle nose pliers so I had to go get the tweezers. Couldn't see the wire but I just put the tweezers in about two times and it finally caught on the wire and I was able to pull it out. Luckily the terminal end was still connected to the wire so I didn't have to replace it. From there it was 3)remove the old terminal posts from the wires (used the needle nose here to wiggle the ends off - been on a long time), 4)insert the new ones, 5) push the terminal posts back in the holes, 6) screw the nuts back on, 7) bake the cornbread. A very quick job -- plus the element from PartSelect was almost half the price of any other I found (due to this I was able to upgrade the shipping a little to get it sooner and still saved money over any other price I found. Just remember to CUT OFF THE JUICE BEFORE YOU START this repair and it will be done in 5 mins or less.
