bakeing element caught fire.
First I turned off power to the range at the fuse box (very important-The last time I didn't do this and ended up paying a repairman $150.00 to replace the damaged connectors). I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. I then connected the new element, pushed the element back in and replaced the screws. Turned the power back on and tested the element. The whole job took about 30 minutes because I had trouble disconnecting the old element. I used the flat end of the scrapper to push against the connector while I pulled the element out. Normally it would take only about 15 minutes.

fireworks in the oven. Burned completely in two.
My husband has moved out of state for his job. I am left here with the children until the house sells. This is the first time I have ever had to do any oven repair. I had excellent and fast service - my part came right away. I took out the 2 screws holding the element in place, pulled the element out, disconnected the old element, connected the new one, pushed it back in, and replaced the screws. No problem at all. I was a little nervous turning it all back on, but it is working perfectly!

I can't believe how easy this was to fix! I amazingly found the part on-line at PartSelect website. I love that you pick part by size, color, etc. I didn't have a part or model number, so this made it super easy! I ordered the part and got it in the mail within 2 days....YEAH! I got my screwdriver out and attached the peice, slid the drawer back in and shazam! it was fixed! Thank you PartSelect and kudos to the person that set up the way you order your parts......awesome! Thanks!

Oven wouldn't heat
First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about three inches and disconnected the two wires, being careful not to pull the plugs off. I then inserted the new element and reattached holders. It was very easy and took less than five minutes. The part arrived amazingly quickly. The stove works great now.

Oven wouldn't heat.
My wife detected the problem Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving. We've had the heating element break before, so we knew right away what the problem was. We ordered the part that night, and even though we weren't able to cook Tom for Thanksgiving, the part shipped on Friday and arrived the next Thursday.

First, I turned off the power to the stove at the circuit breaker.

Then, I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. They are on the top of the flange and partially concealed by the convection element that juts out.

I pulled out the heating element, disconnected the electrical leads, and installed the new one.

I attempted to put the screws back in, but they were a little tough to line up. I decided to leave them out, knowing that I will probably be doing this repair again in a couple of years.

Hopefully, next time it won't be the day before Thanksgiving.
