Tools:
Screw drivers
The oven door seal was frayed, due to using oven cleaner.
First I removed 7 screws, using a Philips head screwdriver, to allow access to the inside of the oven door. I then removed several more screws to separate the panel holding the seal so that I could remove it and replace it with the new seal. Once the seal was in place I re-inserted all the screws to the panel and door to complete the repair. The knobs just slipped on to replace the ones that broke and fell off.

Tools:
Nutdriver, Pliers, Screw drivers, Socket set
All of stove top parts grungy/peeling/burnt out
Replaced all 4 burners, grates, pans, middle grate and fan/light switch. No real "repair" except for the switch, which has two phillips screws to remove the little panel the switch is enclosed in. The fasteners holding the switch TO this panel were VERY difficult to remove, you have to destroy them to get them off! Once that is done, removed the wires from old broken switch, placed them on new switch (now attached to the panel) placed panel back in to position, replaced the two screws and DONE! It was all quite easy and the stove looks brand new now.

switch broke off and fell into oven cavity
removed two screws, pulled up hardware / components, unplugged the old switch, (remember to switch off the circuit breaker!) the two 'fasteners' that are supposed to keep the switch tied to the cover panel did not fit, so i had to use epoxy to secure the switch. no problem though.

The plastic holding the Switch for fan/light broke
A little difficult getting the old retaining washers off of the old part and placing the new washers on the new switch. I ended up using a nutdriver on the retaining nut and hitting it with a hammer. This worked great!! Make sure to record which wire color goes where on the old switch before removing wires. TURN OFF POWER BEFORE!! This is 220V. It can hurt you bad.

broken valve knob
Removed old broken valve knob (shaft was split) and pushed on the new knob. It took a little bit of effort to push on the new knob as the shaft seemed to be slightly smaller. Otherwise, very easy. No tools needed.

50 year old oven racks in bad shape
Parts no longer available so we went to several appliance stores and measured racks. We found a jenair model had racks that measured correctly got the model number and ordered the racks. There working great and now the oven looks like new. Our kitchen is a restored 1956 GE metal kitchen in Cadilac pink. Thanks guys for the fast service and very resonsble price. Was also very happy to find the racks were made in USA.

Removed and installed burners in less than 15 min with just a nut driver. Replacing the burn ere did not fix the starting problem, but replacing them did improve the hurried flame.
