IES355RQ1 Inglis Range - Instructions

Looked up on-line the error problem and what part I needed to fix it. Part arrived very quickly and everything was going fine until I realized the stove had two sensors. Replaced the top sensor now I am getting an error on the bottom sensor. Maybe I replaced the wrong one. I will replace the bottom sensor with the one I took out and see if that does the trick. Remove the plug from outlet then shutoff gas. Remove the 10 screws hold the back panel of the oven. Unclip the connector of the temperature sensor from the main line. Pull the sensor straightout. Reverse the process install the new sensor. Couldn't be any easier. Oven working great. Calling in a reapairman would have cost $200 for parts and labor.

It was as simple as using a screwdrivers and replacing in existing slot. Thank you. It works great!

I removed the broken heating element while waiting for the new part to arrive and cleaned the oven. SO much easier without anything in the way. Once the part arrived and it was wonderfully packaged...Easy to open but very well protected, it was a snap to connect the 2 power wires and then screw in the 2 screws to secure the heating element. I was back to baking in less than 10 minutes.

Repair took 10 minutes time. Used Phillips screw driver and pulled terminal block off stove. Pulled wires off with socket set. Replaced terminal block and reattached wires and block to back of stove. I had called sears to order part and lady tried to sell me a 135 dollar part even though I advised her it was a terminal block. WOW I'm glad I know what I needed. That's when I went with parts select. Easy ordering delivered within five days.

Turn power off at breaker box, remove back cover inserted wires into element, done and ready to be use

Pulled the oven away from the wall, unplugged the oven. Unscrewed the back panel(2 screws)that covers the pigtail connection. Pulled the two wires that attached to the heating element. Inside the oven i removed the two screws holding the element in place and removed old element. Put the new element in place and returned screws. The two wires clipped effortlessly on the back, returned cover and screws and plugged the oven back in. Tested the oven and returned it to its position, reset the clock and done.

Removed lower oven rack. Unplugged stove,removed 2 screws holding element in place,pulled element forward unplugged 2 wires. Reversed proc. To reinstall . Very simple. Parts were here in less than 24 hrs using standard shipping. Very good service

I found a video on YouTube and watched it showing how to change the element - then I performed the repair based on the instructions and recommendations in the video. The video had some good recommendations and cautions that helped ensure a successful repair.

The repair was very easy. It took me less than ten minutes. There were only five screws including two to hold heat element that I have to unscrew and transferred the old clip the screw onto new heat element.

Unplug oven, open oven door wide,pull out racks, clean reside that old element left. I used power drill with phillips head bit,pulled out old element, and disconnected wires from clips. Connected new element to wires, and Presto.Turned bake element to 300 deg.and waited only to see it red and ready to cook.

I was 100% happy with the whole process! The part arrived on schedule, it was exactly what I wanted! The best part of the story is I am a 77 year old lady whose husband was out of town and had never done this before. I could not have been happier with the process! Turn off the breaker to the range. Unplug, too. Took off the 8 screws that hold the upper back panel on. Took a picture of the wire setup (this ain't my first rodeo). Removed two screws on the bottom of the old latch that hold it in place. Carefully removed the wire leads with needle-nose pliers because I didn't want to replace the wire leads. Reconnected the wires to the new latch, replaced the two screws to hold it onto the oven. Tested with the rocker switch on top and the oven door, both worked. Put the back panel on with the 8 screws.
