RK962G3K2 Hotpoint Range - Instructions

Part was in stock, delivered in two day, Wow!!
First shut off power to the oven, the removed the two screws that held the element in place, pulled the old one out and disconnected it and put the other right back in. took less than 1/2 hour.
Very satisfied with product , easy of repair and especially the price and delivery.

It was quite easy. We first turned the power off at the main power switch. Once the power was off, we removed the two screws that fastened the metal plate in the back. We pulled the old bake element out and removed the two screws that fastened the element to two wires. To fasten the new bake element we simply reversed the procedure.

Turned off breaker, unscrewed holding plate, unscrewed element from electric connection wires, replaced element and screwed all back together, turn on breaker, oven working fine now. E-Z!

remove two screws from back of oven holding element to back of oven. Pull out gently, remove two screws holding wire connections(power wires) throw away old element. Place new element into oven. Reconnect element to power wires using screws. Push element back into back of oven. Replace screws holding element in place. Turn oven on to check for proper connections.

Took out old element with screw driver and replaced new element with screw driver, very simple.
We were so happy with the customer service, had the new element the very next morning. Thank you.

Bottom bake element is fastened to back wall by 2 screws remove those first.
Slowly pull out old bake element notice 2 wires are fasten to old bake element by 2 philips head screws. Remove screws from wires fastened to old bake element
Discard old bake element.

Reverse the order for assembly.
Replacement part is the exact fit and entire replacement took 15 minutes.

EASY REPLACEMENT

Unscrewed the two screws holding the element to the back oven wall, then I was able to pull the element out. I then unsrewed the two screws holding the two wires to the element. Installation was the reverse. Pretty simple job.

The part was ordered on a Friday afternoon. It arrived the next morning! Threw the breaker, removed the racks, removed the old element and put in the new one. Done.

I shut down the electric to the oven at the circuit breaker. Then i loosened the mounting screws and pulled the element from the back wall of oven. Then i disconnected the two leads to the element with a phillips screwdriver and removed element. Installation was done in reverse order.

Removed access screws from bake element cover, removed screws retaining wire connections on bake element, reverse procedure, and heat to burn off contaminants.

The bottom heating element burned out. Ordered the right part and my husband fixed the heating element. This saved a lot of money.Thanks, RM from South Carolina

Getting the part out was easy. Turned the power off (of course) first. The outside nuts were corroded, so had to use a pair of pliers to get them off. The inside connectors were easier to get off. I had a little trouble getting the connectors on the wires. The metal part on the heating element kept wanting to bend. I finally had someone hold that in place while I made the connections. The outside screws were easy to put on. The oven now works great. I think the element was failing over a period of time, and we just didn't notice. I can't remember the last time I actually saw the element get RED hot. Works great. Thanks for your quick service and reasonable prices. Will definitely use you again, when I need parts like this. Turned off electricity at fuse box. Unscrewed old element and removed. Put in new element, screwed it in. Turned on electricity. Voila.

Removed 4 screws and removed the old element and replaced in the reverse order.
