The only tool needed was a nutdriver to remove the lamp socket. I needed my head mounted light to see what I was doing, and everything went smoothly from there. Simple job.

I unplugged th oven, for my safety. Removed 2 small bolt head screws, unplugged 2 wire connecters similar to car speakers connecters. Removed the element. Then took a few minutes to clean bottom of oven. It is so much easier with out the element. I plugged the wires onto new element, then i put the 2 small screws back in. Plugged in oven, pushed it back in place and turned on oven. It has been great! I think old element was unevenly heating. Baking has been noticable better. I took a chance and guessed that the problem was the element, as opposed to a thermostat or other part that may have failed. (Oven was made in the 70's) I entered the data for this old oven on the PartSelect.com website and it came up with a part for me to order. When I received the replacement element, I noticed that it was not "exactly" the same shape as the old part, but the dimensions were correct and it fit into the space on the bottom of the oven without any problems. The dimensions of the connectors were pretty close to exactly the same as the old element, and the screw holes in the mounting plate lined up perfectly with the corresponding threaded holes in the back wall of the oven - it took me less than 15 minutes to install the part and the oven appears to be working perfectly again.

It took longer to get the new element out of the box than it did to install it. I removed the two screws with a 1/4" nutdriver, pulled the element out roughly three inches, unplugged the connectors and discarded the old element. I did the reverse to install the new element.

My husband was able to easily remove and replace the switch and know with-in 15 minutes.

The part was just like the old one and would have been an easy fix except our range suffered from a lighting hit. The clips had melted together. Called a dealer and asked about a new wiring harness. He said in those cases just cut the clip off and hard wire with wire clips,or firecrackers. We used wire nuts and taped all together and the oven works just great. Nothing is ever as easy as it should be.

The original controls were different for the small burners and the large burners. The replacement part fits all. Before removing wires, pay attention to writing on new and old control and replace 1 at a time. The hardest part was being sure to cut the knob stem to the correct length. Control works well.

I flipped breaker off for electic and confirmed that power to the stove was off. I removed the 2 screws holding the control unit in place. Carefully removed all knobs and buttons and pryed the cover for the control unit off. I then removed old part, removed the wired and clipped wires to the new unit. Put cover back on - has some difficulty getting the panel back in place to line up the screws. But after a couple of attempts, was able to line up unit and put screws in place to secure. Replaced all knobs. Turn breaker back on and cooked lunch. Very easy job. Most difficult part was getting panel back in position. I would watch alignment more carefully before I removed in next time. Easy home repair for Women...not sure about my man?

Just had to change out the drip bowls, easy. But, I wanted to comment on the quick delivery on the new bowls. I was impressed. Thank you.

Took the old pans out and put the new ones in. Simple as pie

The new drip pans are great. I had purchased generic ones locally that were supposed to be universal. The problem was that they did not fit right and the burner coils did not sit flat. The new drip pans fit well and look great too.

The drip pans arrived and she switched them out with the old ones Easy!

used my hands to remove heating element, then remove drip bowls, then install new bowls, then install heating elements, done!!!!!
