RS776G*01 Hotpoint Range - Instructions

Repair went fine after I got the second element shipped to me. First element sent was DOA, so I called customer service and they credited my CC for part cost and shipping, then charged the new replacement to my account and mailed it out. Got it the next day. Repair was easy - turned off power to oven took out two screws holding element in place. Unbolted the two wires from element and installed new element. Oven element heated up cherry red and I am back to baking with an oven I thought was a gonner. Was impressed with customer service replacement process. It was fast and easy with no problems. Use nut driver to take off shield. Pull out element to expose element and wire connections. Use nut driver to take off the 2 little screws. Remember what side is positive(red wire) and what side is negative(black wire). Put shield over the 2 wire and reconnect to element. Will need a standard screwdriver for the new screws. Slide wires into insulation and put back on shield.

Replaced lower element

First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. Attached the wires to the new heating element, screwed it back in. That's it.
I was glad they had the part for such an old oven.

Replaced old drip bowls with the new ones. Very simple, no tools required.

Attached the screws and was done. Unbelievable! Ordered the part at 10 am and was delivered at 11 am next day. Great shipping!

I replaced the element. The new part arrived within 48 hours of being ordered. It worked. The part that sticks out the back of the oven with the connections was a little shorter on the new element which made it more difficult to put the wires on but it was not too difficult.

Took off oven door, removed screws, disconnected wires took out damaged part. Reversed the order. Job complete!

pull oven from wall,unplugged.removed back with small hex or screw driver . opened oven slide element into slot screwed two screws in, pushed in two connectipn on back .replaced cover on back .plugged in and put oven back in place.

Turned the power off. Loosened two screws to take the element out. Loosened two more srews to disconnect the element itself from the power. This job was easy squeezy. Within 15 minutes flat I was back on the couch watching old Seinfeld reruns. Two thumbs up for the peeps at Part Select.

Simply removed two screws to detach element from oven wall, removed two terminal wires then reversed the procedure to install the new element.

A socket set was used to remove the old element. New element was installed with a slotted screw driver and socket set. It took 15 minutes from start to finish to complete the removal and installation. Element tested OK. The bake elment was delivered overnite by Fedx.

Turned of circuit breaker, unscrewed element and screwed in new one.I was so impressed with 'Part Select'. I have never had a more efficient and inexpensive experience with online shopping. Turned off breaker for oven, removed baking (lower) element, searched website to match up size, shape, and connector-type of replacement part. Placed order and received two days later. Mounted new part in 10 minutes, turned on breaker, and immediately baked fries for children. No problem. Much cheaper and easier than replacing entire built-in oven.
