RJ745G1T6 Hotpoint Range - Instructions

I read the instrustions provided and proceded to remove the old Bake Element and installed the new Bake Element.
It was no problem at all and was just a simple job to replace the bad part.

less than 15 minutes R2 the part, ops ck'd good. 4ea 1/4" screw/nuts, they didn't fight me...

Element went out on Wednesday; ordered part on Thursday; it arrived on Saturday (via regular service). Took out old part with hex screw drived, installed new and back in business.

1. isolate the main power supply. 2. remove backplate on old element,remove connecting terminals from old element; and withdraw from oven. 3. connect new element[make sure the connection is firm].replace backplate and secure with the two screws provided. switch on power, oven working perfectly.

A friend gave me your website. I looked up the model (is over 30 years old & obsolete!), but you listed a similar model. Part fit perfect, works great, heats to set temp quickly. Your do-it-yourself page was a big help...thanks! Replacement went quick and easy after I saw what needed to be done.

Removed burn out element,very easy to installed, screwed them in, done that fast!

Ordered the part on a Friday afternoon and was shocked to receive the box on Saturday AM! Turned off the power to the unit, unscrewed the screws holding in the old element, and hooked up the new one. We didn't have a socket wrench so we subbed a pliers. So easy & cheap! Seems like everything's breaking around this house & this is the ONLY thing that was easy & cost less than $20! Our home was built in 1990 and has an original GE oven in it. When the bake element broke in half, I thought for sure it meant buying a new oven. When I looked on line and found Part Select.com, I was impressed to find the exact part I needed. I requested the part on Saturday, and it arrived on Tuesday. I installed the part on Saturday just in time for hosting our Super Bowl party and baking enchiladas! You guys saved the day! Thanks PartSelect!

Looked up mfg. and part #,looked at blow up of stove on parts select, identified element. The part came overnite. Shut down power, removed 2 screws with a nut driver, pulled element foreward to reveal 2 screws attaching wires. Replaced in reverse order, turned on power, back in service. 10 minutes tops.

It is simple.

Cut off the power. Remove racks. Remove burned out element and replace with new one.

Replace racks and turn on the power. Set the clock.

I've done this about 5 times and now keep a spare element.

The repair was a snap! Unscrew the two small bolts holding the back of the element in place. Pull out the element so that the connectors and wires are accessible. Unscrew the two wires from the element. Remove old element. Place new element in oven. Attach the two wires to the new element (two screws), place the new element in position and replace the two small bolts that were removed at the beginning. All done. Best thing? This is a 20 year old oven, GE didn't even have the part I needed. You did! Thanks.

Turned the main breaker off and locked it out. Removed the original element using a 1/4" nut driver. Installed the new element using a Philips screwdriver. Turned the power on. Tha'ts it. Easy!

I turned off the power at the breaker for the oven. I had to use a small wrench to get off the two screws keeping the bake element in the oven.

I pulled it out a bit and exposed where the element screws into the power.

To prevent the wires from receding back into the wall after I unscrewed them, I taped them to the inside of the oven.

After removing the old element, I just installed the new one the same way. Screwed it into the power, and tightened the panel to the back of the oven.

Reset the breaker, and you're good to go.

Took 10 mins tops. It is pretty cramped in there and you need a good flashlight to see what you're doing.
