remove 2 screws holding element to oven back wall/ unscrew wires from element/ new element install the reverse of removal

If the bottom heating element is not glowing red when you turn the oven on replacing this part may be the answer. Look for a spot on the old element that could indicate it has shorted out and no longer carries a charge.
Very simple to remove the two screws holding the element in place, pull the element out about 3 inches, disconnect the two wires, replace with the new element and reattach the two screws. Simple and effective. The new element is fast and responsive. Do this before any other suggestions to replace more complicated parts in the thermostate etc.

Very easy repair. 2 hex head screws to take the heating element out. Then 2 more slot head screws for the wire connections. Perfect fit and operation of the new heating element.

The part was delivered in 24 hours with regular
shipping and was simple to replace. Uncrewed
it, disconnected wires from the old one and connected
the new one. Cost a little more than $30 including shipping and the oven works great!

First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. Made sure oven was turned off. I used nut driver to remove nuts holding old element to back of oven. gently pulled element out of wall, taking care not to yank because of wires attached to back of element. Made sure oven was off again and then used nut driver to carefully remove wire leads from receptors on element. removed old element from oven and got the new element. carefully used nut driver to attach wire leads to new element. When snugging the bolts to leads, used pliers to keep leads on the element from bending. carefully replaced wires and rear of element into the space behind oven, and used nut driver to attach the back of element to the back of oven. shut oven and turned on to make sure it worked. it did. I was very pleased with my experience with part select dot com, and will be buying another element soon to replace the one in my other oven! Thank you

Couldn't be a much simpler repair. You pull the old element off by removing two screws. Then you slide the old element toward you several inches and remove the two screws holding the wires that are attached to the old element. To replace, just do everything in reverse. One cautionary measure, even though the oven is off, there is still a small amount of electricity going to the element. Turn the stove off at the circuit breaker, or unplug the stove before you attempt the repair.

Removed screws from plate holding the element in then removed the screws from the wires attached to the element. Reversed the process and was finished. Oven is back in working order. (I am recently widowed and this is the first time I have had to do this type of repair)

Turned off circuit to oven. Unscrewed two screws holding element in place at back oven wall, pulled out old element and loosened nuts holding it to wiring. Discarded old element. Put new element in place and re-attached nuts to wiring (very simple). Pushed back into place and replaced screws to hold plate to back of oven wall. Turned circuit back on and put oven on to bake to test -- voila, success! Thank you PartSelect.com!

Unscrewed the element from the oven,disconnected the two screws for the electrical and reverse the procedure to install new element. Took all of about 10 minutes.

Using a nut driver, I removed the two screws holding the baking element to the firewall of the oven. I then pulled the baking element out exposing the two wires connected to it. I then used the same nutdriver to remove the nuts and detached the old element. I then connected the new element to the wires, pushed the wires inside the firewall and reattached the element to the firewall of the oven.
The time it took was literally a few minutes. Works like a new oven!

The replacement was simple. I turned off the power to the oven, took out two nuts holding the element in place, unscrewed the element from the power and finished the job in 10 minutes. The company that we called was going to charge nearly $200 to complete this job. I saved a lot of money by doing it my self.

I couldn't find the oven model number so I just looked at the shapes from partselect.com. This would have been fine except I didn't know my Kenmore model had 4" leads so the one I ordered were only 2". I had to return the first element but the process to do this was FAST and EASY. With help I found the model number and had the correct part shipped. It took less than 5 minutes to install. It took longer to mop and clean behind the oven that hadn't seen the light of day in 10 years.

I turned off the electricity, unscrewed the old one and disconnected the electric wires, then put the new one in just like the old one. It was very easy and now it works great.
