RB525G*R3 Hotpoint Range - Instructions

First I turned off the circuit breaker leading to the oven. Then I removed the two screws that held the old element in place. I pulled out the element and disconnected the wires. I reconnected the wires to the new element and pushed it back in place. I then secured it with the two screws. I turned the circuit breaker back on and turned on the oven. Works just great!!!

Prior repair job had spliced the terminal block wires with electrical tape; electrical tape caught fire while making pasta.

anyways, disconnect all power, remove burners, pull stove out. you'll need a 1/4" drive socket to get the back cover off; six bolts total. phillips head screw driver to unscrew the terminal blocks; replace with new terminal blocks; it did not seem to matter which wire plugged into the back. put everything back together. very easy.

Firs I shut the power off to the range. Then I removed the bottom oven rack, then removed the two screws holding the element in place. I pulled the element out about 3 inches to pull the connecting wires off. However, when I pulled the element towards me a lost on of the connecting wires that attached to the element. I then had to pull the range away from the wall and remove the back cover panel.I then fed the new element into the wholes from the inside of the range and having the back panel removed gave me full access for reconnecting the element wires. I put the back cover panel into place , put the bottom oven rack in and that was it. I was done with the repair. I turned the power back on and everything worked fine. I would recommend removing the back cover panel prior to trying to remove the element. This will save you some time and give you full access to the wiring before attempting to remove the bake element.

I loosened two screws that held the baking element to the stove and pulled out. Then, with a screwdriver , I took the old wires off and replaced them onto the new Baking Element and reassembled.

It was a very easy task and while I was at it,I replaced the Drip Bowl pans on the top of the stove with Chrome ones.

I ordered the parts on a Tuesday and, to my surprise, I received them on Thursday, and the cost was about half of what it would have cost me elsewhere (to include GE Parts Warehouse)

I highly recommend partselect to all of you that need inexpensive repairs.

The part was delivered in 24 hours with regular
shipping and was simple to replace. Uncrewed
it, disconnected wires from the old one and connected
the new one. Cost a little more than $30 including shipping and the oven works great!

Removed the old piece and connected the wires to the new piece. I'm a woman and this took me less that 15 minutes to complete. Easy as pie. On top of that, I received my order within 3 days! Made sure oven was turned off. I used nut driver to remove nuts holding old element to back of oven. gently pulled element out of wall, taking care not to yank because of wires attached to back of element. Made sure oven was off again and then used nut driver to carefully remove wire leads from receptors on element. removed old element from oven and got the new element. carefully used nut driver to attach wire leads to new element. When snugging the bolts to leads, used pliers to keep leads on the element from bending. carefully replaced wires and rear of element into the space behind oven, and used nut driver to attach the back of element to the back of oven. shut oven and turned on to make sure it worked. it did. I was very pleased with my experience with part select dot com, and will be buying another element soon to replace the one in my other oven! Thank you

This was extremely easy to replace. When I told my mom I would replace it for her, she thought I was crazy. When she saw how easy it was, she finally understood. I had to remove the two screws holding the element in place. I pulled it out about 3 inches and unscrewed one screw for one wire. I didn't want to lose the wire, so I immediately connected the wire to the new element. I disconnected the second wire and attached it to the new bake element. Then attached the two screws putting the plate back up, securing the element. So easy! Just unscrewing and replacing 4 screws and I was done!! Took less than 10 minutes. I didn't have any real tools available, so I used a small adjustable wrench and it worked fine. The best part was it was so easy we were able to have a working oven in time for Thanksgiving!

Pulled out the bottom drawer of the stove and discovered the plug. So the plug was pulled from the wall socket.

Before this I had sprayed the screws with WD-40 and let it sit for 2 days.

Screws came out easily. Pulled out the old element and removed screws. Screwed on new element on both sides. Put in place and put old screws back.

Plugged stove back in. Turned on stove. Element came right on.

super easy - unpluged stove - unscrewed old element w/nutdriver from back of stove. unwired element - discarded. wired new element (2 wires). secured new element to back of stove. pluged stove back in. works great. Ordered part on Sunday, recieved it on Tuesday- VERY NICE SERVICE

Then I replaced the two screws that held the element in place. I then tested the oven and it worked wonderfully.

First I shut off the circuit breaker for the oven then removed the screws that hold the element in place. The element was pulled out about 3 inches and unscrewed the 2 screws to disconnect the two wires. Upon receipt of the new element, I simply reversed the above process and the oven performed like new. Very easy, very quick and very grateful to have the oven operating again and it was a very inexpensive fix.

This was so easy to do. First I took the two screws out of the holding plate. Then the element comes out and I took the two screws attaching the wires to each end of the element out. To replace it just reverse the above and turn it on let it heat for about 10 mins to burn off any residue and you are ready to start baking again. Although not really necessary it is reccommended to unplug or turn of the breaker before you start working on the problem.

First, we turned off power to the range. We removed the screws holding the element to the back wall of the oven and pulled out the element a few inches. We disconnected the 2 wires from the old element, and attached the new element with the 2 provided screws. We pushed the element back into the wall and secured it with the screws. Turned the power back on, turned the stove back on and, voila, the frozen pizza was well on its way to becoming dinner!
