JKP07207 General Electric Range - Instructions

Shut power off to oven. Removed old element with socket wrench. Replaced old with new element, using socket wrench and new screws. restored power. That's it. Fortunately, old screws were not rusted. If they had been, would have used a rust solven.

On thanksgiving day, as we were pre-heating the oven, electric sizzle, sparks and a little flame comes from our 24 year old oven. We were able to get dinner on the table and that evening I went looking for what I thought was going to be a difficult to find part. But I found the part on partselect. I ordered that evening and got it on saturday. Installation was a snap. The most difficult part was the nuts holding the wires were stuck on from time and heat and I worried about the wire from the small plate to the coil might break. A little wd-40 and a few minutes and they popped right off and right back on. Works great now.

Easy! Removed the screws, took out the damaged element, reversed the process with the the new element. I called in my order on Monday and Wednesday evening the oven was repaired! It doesn't get any better than that. Thanks for the great service.

Took out old element with screw driver and replaced new element with screw driver, very simple.

I read your website repair testimonials by previous customers and used that advise to do the job. I liked the suggestion to use something to attach to the unattached wires so they don't slip back into the unit. I used two clothespins. I had one stubborn electrical connection to disconnect so it took a little longer -about 30 minutes. But it was a simple job to do and my oven works fine again. The item was delivered timely from the order date and packaged well. Thank-you!

New element arrived in a couple of days! We turned off breaker to oven, removed the old one which only involved two screws. Then we had to connect new one and re-attach metal square, only tricky part was getting the metal square positioned correctly but that was really not hard, just made sure insulation was covered and plate went back in same position. If we had called a eepair company it would have taken a week or more and probably been expensive!

I shut down the electric to the oven at the circuit breaker. Then i loosened the mounting screws and pulled the element from the back wall of oven. Then i disconnected the two leads to the element with a phillips screwdriver and removed element. Installation was done in reverse order.

Removed the two screws holding the mount and then reattached the two wires to the element.

I got the help for the install from the help desk. It went EXACTLY as described, I'm so impressed. So got the best price and the best help and we're fixed and I'm baking again. Awesome

First I shut off power to the oven. Then, using a nut driver, I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and unscrewed the two screws that make the electrical connection. Removed the old element and put in the new one.

Turned on power and ran the oven for a while to verify that it worked and to burn off any oils on the element.

It was quite easy. We first turned the power off at the main power switch. Once the power was off, we removed the two screws that fastened the metal plate in the back. We pulled the old bake element out and removed the two screws that fastened the element to two wires. To fasten the new bake element we simply reversed the procedure.

Turned off breaker, unscrewed holding plate, unscrewed element from electric connection wires, replaced element and screwed all back together, turn on breaker, oven working fine now. E-Z!

Removed the 2 screws that held element in place. Pulled the element out about 2 inches to disconect the wires. I then reattached the new element and replaced the screws holding the element in place.
