The terminal block for a front stove top burner failed
There was an excellent video demonstrating a very good method for replacing the terminal block at Parts Select.. I ran into a problem with the kit. The wires were too short. Instead of replacing the entire wire I needed to clip off part of the old wiring and solder the kit wires to them. I also needed to insulate the connections with electrical tape to prevent them from shorting out.

Old Surface Burner Block Kit Disintegrated
Very easy. Followed the video instructions. Unplug stove. Cut old wires. Tape new wires to old wires to facilitate pulling new wires thru old hole to back of range. Removed back cover. Pulled old/new wires thru to back. Removed old connectors. Attached new connectors. Replaced back cover. Screwed new terminal block to front of range at burner. Attached new burner. Plugged in stove. Burner switch shorted out
This burner is on a Monarch wood and electric range. The 8in burner shorted out and fried the switch. I had to remove the cover over the switch's. I marked each lead with paper and stapled the paper to the leads. When the switch came in I just had to reattach the leads.

Burner went to high heat at any setting
Thanks to Partselect's instructions the repair went very easy. When I was done and the wife finished cleaning the sides of the stove and the floor behind it, I was surprised after I plugged the stove back in and noticed the clock was only 18 minutes off! Awesome company to deal with, Thanks!
