J301*P1 General Electric Range - Instructions

Turn off the breaker. Unscrew the element. Remove and replace with new element. Screw it back into place. Turn on the breaker.

That simple, that easy.

First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 2 inches and disconnected the two wires.

I reconnected the two wires to the new element and screwed the new element to the wall of the oven where the element was held in place.

First removed screws then removed burned out element.Replaced with new element and replaced screws and cooked pizza.

I unscrewed the old burner from the stove, took off the three wire to the heating element marking down where each colored wire went, taped off the exposed wires, ordered the new burner, and waited for it to arrive. When it got here, I installed it, and believe it or not, the new burner works just fine!. End of exciting repair story.

The delivery of the part was within 3 days.I only had to connect the two screws had biscuits that night.

Repair was easy.
Note: the element leads have a potential across them,
so unplug the unit or you'll have an arc strike.

Removed the elements from the stove and disconnected the wires. Reconnected wires to the new elements and reinstalled in the stove. I was very impressed with the delivery time. I ordered online at 3:00 PM and the parts were at my door at 9:00 AM the next morning. Greatest service I ever had from anyone! I am 250 miles from the warehouse.

Took the old part off and marked the wiring for easy replacing and looked all over town and no part to match, so I went to the Internet and put in 8" burner and luckily found your website. This is a forty five year old oven. It was only four screws and it was done. The new part works like a champ! This save me from buying a $800.00 replacement. I removed the two 1/4 screws holding the element to the back of the oven and then took the flat head screws loose from the terminals on the old element. I then put everything back as it came out; took less than 5 minutes and the part arrived overnight! Thank you again!!

Took the broken heating element out of oven. Replaced with new one; which was easy to do.

Turned on oven. It started heating immediately

First unplugged from wall outlet, then just removed the old element and four screws. Replaced with the new one and rescrewed in. VERY VERY EASY!

First , for safety, I flipped breakers to kitchen applicances to cut off the power. Removed the 2 screws that held the old element in place. Pulled it out a couple of inches and disconnected the 2 wires attached to the prongs of the element. Reattached them to the new element, pushed it back in and replaced the screws. Turn power back on and voila! ... was ready to bake again! All this is a matter of 15 mins!

First I took out the oven racks removed two screws then I pulled it out a couple of inches to expose the wires and removed the screw. Put the new element in place and replaced the two screws put the wires back and replaced the two screws that hold the element in place.
My stove is over 40 years old matching the 40's - 50's style decor. in my kitchen if I had to replace the entire stove for a reproduction the cost would have been substantually more.
I didn't even have to ask my husband to do this it was easy enough to do myself.

The repair seemed very easy, even before I attempted it. When I recieved my part it was very obvoius that this was my problem part. The old element was worn out(21 yrs old). Having Thanksgiving around the corner, my wife was happy we had a fix to our not ready to replace oven. Removed the panel screws that hold the bake element to the back of the stove. Then I disconnected the old element from the wires. Attached the new element using the provided screws. Reattached the old panel screws to hold the new bake element in place. Works great.

The new bake element doesn't have an item number on it, so I kept the old element in a cabinet someplace in case I have to replace this one again some day. I've lost the model number for my very old GE wall oven, so without that item number I'll be in trouble.
