Gas stove knob was broken
The stove is over 20 years old, it was bound to happen. Because PartSelect.com has pictures of the part from three different views & detailed measurements, I was more confident that this part would be what I would need. When the part arrived in just 2-3 days, I opened the package, and slipped it into the socket... DONE ....Easy!!

oven not up to temperature; shuts off before temp set
Took amp reading, which was 2.5 amps, that identified that the igniter needed to be replaced, for the safety valve requires 3.2 amps or better. Replaced, and everything is okay.

Old knob cracked, duh, after 20+ yrs!
Opened the package. Took out the knob. Put knob on spindle. The neat thing is it's an EXACT match! No bushings or adapters needed. No color difference; all the markings are identical. YAY!! I will be back, as all my appliances are aging sharply!

The writing on my thermostat knob had become invisible.
I found your website very easy to manover. I quickly found the part I needed, the description and design were very clear so that it was easy to see which knob I needed. My order arrived very quickly and it was such a relief to get rid of the old knob and to be able to read the temperature markings again. Thank you!!

knobs broken off - only one working
Although my gas range is older, it is still in excellent condition and good working order, except for the knobs. I was down to one know which I moved around for all the burners. Found your site, instantly identified parts from your pictues & diagrams. Rec'd new knobs. Slid into position and away I went. It is like having a new stove. Knobs were a little pricey - but well worth it.

Igniter
No problem getting to igniter in oven to remove from holder. Difficult to disconnect igniter at rear after removing drawer. Just hard to get to. Broke one of the plug-in receivers so had to crimp on a new one. This was a hinged pair that received the igniter lead and another lead that went to another part.

Replacing old drip pans
Our very old GE gas stove looked good except for the drip pans. I ordered all four and they arrived the next day. The price for the pans was very reasonable, and of course, they were very easy to replace. My wife looked at the stove and said the stove looked new. I love those inexpensive jobs that result in a good looking finished project.

Oven Igniter DEAD
First wrote a wiring diagram then disconnected old igniter by removing two screws and unplugging.
Then just reversed the whole operation.
However, it never worked because the "oven/broiler" switch broke.
Its time for a new stove.
But I would recommend PartsSelect to anybody.
Your selection is great, you shipped as promised, and the best part was the price.

Burner would not light
Ordered new igniter switch, but Fedex lost it! Partselect sent new one overnight. Really a cinch to install. Be sure to unplug oven or turn off breaker if you are not comfortable with working with live electrical wires!

numbers washed off the temp knob
While visiting in Minnesota I was cleaning my Mothers GE range, I cleaned the numbers right off the temperature knob. Panicking I called my husband in Florida, gave him the number that was sort of visable on the back of the knob. The numbers were not the same but I said the knob is black and any knob with the oven temperatures numbers should fit. He ordered it, they said three days. Sure enough three days it arrived. Now me not telling my Mother what I had done went to my daughters house for a few days. I got a call from my sister, who checks on Mother, laughing her head off. She said Mother had gotten the package and told the delivery lady that she hadn't ordered anything that it wasn't hers. The delivery lady said the name and address was hers. She then helped Mother who has arthritic fingers open the package and proceeded to the stove where she took off the old knob and put on the new one. Mother was thrilled

timer knobs missing
Just pushed the new timer knobs onto the stem. They fit and now I can set the oven timer without having to use a pair of pliers to grip the stem and turn it.

Two of the knobs fit perfectly.

The stem for the the clock was broken off and there was not enough of the stem left for the new knob to fit.
