PB915TT2CC General Electric Range - Instructions

I just watched the video that was on the website. It showed in detail how to replace the heating element. After watching it I was able to remove the cooktop, replace the heating element and put it all back together. The only issue I had was getting the cooktop loose but once I did everything else was easy.

Pull oven out away from the wall, unplugged from outlet, removed center cover by removing 5 sheet metal screws. disconnected thermostat sensor from control cable. Opened oven door and removed screw that holds thermostat sensor. Pulled thermostat sensor out replaced with new sensor. Plugged sensor in to control cable. Replace panel and screws. Then my wife made me clean the oven. I recommend making the repair when your wife is not home.

Removed screws holding temp sensor, pulled wire out from behind wall until found connector, disconnected old sensor.
Measured resistance of old sensor and compared with new sensor, they measured nearly the same. Installed the new sensor and tested the stove. Came up to temp ok. No problem since, about 2 weeks.

Threw the old one out - plugged the new one in. Steak came out just as ordered - medium rare.

Take off 6 screws of back cover of the range, unplug the white wire. Go to the inside of oven, pull out racks. At the top of the oven is your Broiler element, in the center you will see a rod sticking out with one screw holding it in place. Take out screw and pull temperature sensor out toward you. Reverse steps to put it back together.

This item worked as described. I paid more for this 'oem' probe than the generic 1 because i didn't want to chance it not working as others have reported.

First I found a u-tube video on how to repair this. I found the model number of my stove and used my phone to take a picture of it. I found the part on part select.com and ordered it. It came within a few days.
Turn off electricity to the stove. There were two screws to loosen and allow me to lift the glass stove top. It did not come off and we made a stick to hold it open. Then we unplugged and removed the old burner paying attention what was plug in where, maybe 4 plug ins. Then we clipped it back in, closed the top, rescrewed the top on. Turned on the electricity. It took 10 minutes to replace. Very easy!

This one is simple. unscrew a portion of the door, install the spacer and screw back together. Worked well.

Removed the two sheet metal screws securing the range top after disconnecting the power. Removed the mounting clips to the old range element and installed the new one. It was an easy fix.

Pulled stove out to access back panel. Unscrew broken switch/stem. Replaced each wire one at a time to make sure they went in right spot. Screw in new switch. Replaced back panel.

Once I opened up the back of the range, the sensor wires where there and burnt just like your info said. One nut to take off in the oven and the sensor came right out and the new one went right in. The oven works great, cooked the turkey today. The worst part of the repare was the cleaning behind and under the range, it hasn't moved since it was put in 6 years ago. Very pleased with PS.

Unplugged oven, turned off breaker, took cover off back of oven, removed old sensor by disconnecting in back of oven and undoing screw inside oven. Pulled old one out replaced with new took 15min. Cost me less than $20. Parts Select rocks! Even received part in two days with standard shipping!

Replaced it

Identified part and part # using schematic found on GE website, contacted PartSelect and confirmed part number, ordered and paid for part. Two days later I recieved part. Unplugged stove, removed two screws on bottom side of front panel and two on top back of same panel, pulled panel forward, pulled the control knob off, removed two small screws that hold the control switch in place, situated new control switch next to bad switch and removed one wire at the time from the bad switch and connected to the same terminal on the new switch. Unplugged the stove, removed the back control cover, removed the Element Control Knob on front, removed the two screws holding the control in place, pull one wire of old control and connected to the new control - one at a time to ensure proper placement, re-attached the screws, control knob, back cover, plugged in stove, and repairs were completed in less then 15 minutes for both controls.
