Bake and convection cycles quit working after a10 minutes
Unbolted temperature sensor from back of oven. Disconnect cable connector. Replaced and reconnected new sensor and bolted back in place. Haven’t had to replace bake element yet, but it’s a major job being this GE Profile oven has the bake element hidden. That’s a new one on me.

Keypad gave an F7 error code
I learned that an F7 code on the GE Profile oven meant an error in the touchpad for the oven. A repair shop quoted $89.95 to just show up, and then unknown labor charges, and, if it was the touchpad, could replace that for >$120 in parts. I ordered the touchpad from Partselect, hoping it was indeed the touchpad that was faulty. It was in stock, shipped the next day, for $73 including shipping. It took about 5 minutes to replace the touchpad (at most), and disassembly/assembly was so easy it is not worth detailing; it is obvious. The replacement fixed the problem, and saved hundreds of dollars...

The control knob on the burner stopped allowing you to adjust temperature and would on turn the burner off when turning counter clockwise
I turned off the breaker, removed the control knobs from all of the burners there are plastic knots on each control knob that needs to be removed (once loosened they can easily be turned by hand). You can then just lift the out piece off. You need to remove 4 knots to release the control panel so you can access the control know. I removed the 2 screws in the old control know, there are 4 wires that need to be pulled to disconnect. I wrote down the order in which the colored wires were connected . I then removed the old part and reversed the process

Needed backsplash to complete installation
Installation team. A personal comment--your representative, John, that I spoke with this afternoon was very helpful when I called to question a charge on my credit card statement, and you can be certain that if I have need of an appliance part again, I will think of your firm first.U.L.S. Oven lights were burning out regularly
Replaced the Oven light housing. Unscrewed the two screws that hold the housing in place. Pulled out the housing and disconnected the wire tabs from the light housing tabs. Slid the wire tabs onto the tabs of the new light housing fixture. (Each tab is fitted to the tab in goes on so they can not be mixed up) Pushed the housing fixture back into place and screwed the housing into place.

gasket on door was brittle
I feel like Macho Mom. I called in the repair guy since I was afraid of dealing with the gas. HE repaired one item but could tell I was comfortable fixing things and pointed out that the gasket was brittle and would cause major problems if not replaced. Took longer to order the part than do the repair, don't know what I was afraid of!
