Stain/polyurethane dried on burner head & cap
Lifted both pieces off and placed the new ones on,turned on the burner and it worked as it should.

No repair needed, just replaced parts. But the real story is that I ordered 6 parts and they came in 2 days. Five came correctly - one was wrong. One five minute phone call and the correct part came two days later. Never had such speed in delivery. And person I spoke with to correct the order was excellent. What a place to do business! needed a high altitude adapter kit (I live at 8500 ft)
I used a 7mm nut driver, removed the old orifice and then installed the new high altitude orifice, took less than 5 minutes to do all 4 orifices.

Replace medium burner for gas cooktop
Very easy to remove grates, burner cover and remove old burner head. Very simple process, but surprised that there was no efficient way to clean carbon deposits from my old burner. Burner video instructions on line insured I installed the new burner head correctly (actually, pretty hard to get wrong), and burner worked correctly immediately. Will likely replace other burners in time as the new one is so "silvery" colored compared to my other burners.
