JGBP26DEM5CC General Electric Range - Instructions

Very easy install of done correctly. When you pull range out,watch the gas line and don't pull it out of it's fittings. Two small Phillips head screws on the front panel low to the sides. Then two 5/16 screws on the top back panel and flip it forward. Rest it on the stove and the control panel is facing you. I'm a 30 year Electrician so please take my advice and make a schematic of the wire colors and the NUMBER associated with that color wire. Once that is done remove all wires and also a green ground wire that is under a screw. The new panel may NOT have the exact same configuration but the NUMBER on the terminals will be the same. Plus all color wires to the appropriate terminals and reinstall !! Great job!!

Removed the screw from the broken piece and put the new piece on and put the screw on.

Received the oven door gasket ordered for GE gas oven promptly. Online videos suggested the gasket was held in place by removeable pins and would be easy to remove the old door gasket and install the new one. However the GE oven we had required the oven door to be removed and disassembled to remove the damaged gasket and install the new one. Some minor difficulty encountered in aligning the new door gasket and the door frame screws. Nevertheless the gasket replacement was successful and the gasket sealed and performed well.

repair was easy enough, but the kit came with female ends and needed mail ends. I had to splice old connecters to new igniter

1. Unplug from electrical outlet. 2. Turn off gas valve. 3. Remove oven door. 4. Remove bottom drawer. 5. Remove oven shelves. 6. Remove oven floor, take out the two screws at the rear. 7. Unplug the igniter from the wire harness, you can reach it from where you removed the drawer. 8. Remove the igniter, by unscrewing the two bolts using your nut driver. 9. Replace with new igniter. 10. Put everything back together, starting with # 9 and work your way to #1.

I unscrewed to old glide and replaced it then re attached the screw

It's great to know there is such a fantastic resource for do-it-youselfers. It took 5 minutes to remove the old igniter and plug in the new. A screwdriver is the only tool required.

I removed the door and the racks, and the flame spreader. I removed the 4"X6" shield loosen the circular flap to plug the new igniter to the recepticle. Turn the oven on to check the operation and if it comes on, button it back up. remember open the oven door approx 3" and pull upwords to remove the door. I would say 90% of the time the igniter is the problem.

took drawer out removed broken guide. It had 1 screw removed it put the new guide in place put screw back in. Put drawer back in stove, It works fine.

Replaced old with new.

Remove the cover over the spark module. Remove the two screws holding the module. Unplug the wires from the old module and plug them into the new module. Install the new module with the two screws. Replace the cover.

ordered parts, 2 double burners, 3 days later they arrived.opened box.
lift stove top, lift out old burner,placed next to new burner to see if they were the same. THEY WERE. place in new burner, checked to see if burner assembly fit correctly. IT DID.
units purchased were exact replacements. supplied spacer nuts not needed.

I followed the video instructions on the site. I unplugged the power supply and turned off the gas supply. I then removed the plate out of the bottom of the oven to get to the igniter. Then I removed the screws and unplugged the igniter to remove the old part. I had to purchase two porcelain wire nuts because the new part connection did not match up with the old connection. The repairs were quite simple and I had my oven back and working in no time. I am glad I read the comments from others because I thought it was my gas control valve, but they were right it was my igniter. This saved me time and money.

Removed old gasket, did need to use pliers. However, it was easy. The new gasket just snapped in place ...super easy.

Lifted the top and dropped in the new burners. Realized they always should have had the leveling washers provided so I took the burners off, dropped on the leveling washers and dropped the burners back on. This all took about 2 minutes. Really made the range top look a lot nicer.
