Light burnt out.
Turned the wire protector to the side. Turned out the old bulb and replaced it with the new. Turned the wire protector back in place and I'm like new.

The numbers were worn off
Took the new knob out of package and it was an exact fit and what is even more amazing we had went to sears and they looked up the part and told us how much it was going to cost and in total we paid about 40.00 dollars and then sears contacted us back and said it was no available so they gave us our money back but they told us that they tried a number of places and it could not be found and am so thankful to parts direct for existing and helping us and it was so easy to order this is one very satified customer thank you so much

finish on old oven bottom was damaged
Ordered part from customer friendly Part Select and received the replacement part within a few days, and installed it promptly. Wife is happy and stopped grumbling about oven bottom unsightly defect! Small price to pay for a happy wife! Ernie

Glass panel was shattered
With the help of the PartsSelect.com web site I was able to see and exploded view of the door. That help me determine the fastners to unscrew. I took the parts apart, clen them up, installed the new glass plan and screwed everything back together. The job was much easier then I had invisioned. Thanks

With the oven dial at OFF, the oven would turn on by itself every 5 to 10 minutes and it would heat up to about 100F and shut off.
Unplugged the range. Took out all the necessary screws and lifted up the cooktop cover. Unscrewed each gas tubes connecting to each gas burner's dial to allow more working space. Pulled out the old thermostat, installed the new one. Put back the gas tubes and all other necessary screws. Plugged the range and tested out the new thermostat.

Stain/polyurethane dried on burner head & cap
Lifted both pieces off and placed the new ones on,turned on the burner and it worked as it should.

Replace medium burner for gas cooktop
Very easy to remove grates, burner cover and remove old burner head. Very simple process, but surprised that there was no efficient way to clean carbon deposits from my old burner. Burner video instructions on line insured I installed the new burner head correctly (actually, pretty hard to get wrong), and burner worked correctly immediately. Will likely replace other burners in time as the new one is so "silvery" colored compared to my other burners.

Oven Heating Too Hot, More Than 100 Degree Beyond Setting
Replaced the oven thermostat and calibrated the new thermostat by adjusting the temperature setting knob. Instruction I found on-line were very helpful and the repair was moderately difficult. Trickiest part was threading the new thermostat into the oven. Total repair time about 1 hour.
