JBP21WB1 General Electric Range - Instructions

I removed the 3 screws from the Door Handle End Cap that was broken and replaced it with the (easily ordered and quickly delivered) New End Cap.
The job was quick easy and we barely remember the door handle at all.

Turned the wire protector to the side. Turned out the old bulb and replaced it with the new. Turned the wire protector back in place and I'm like new.

Simply slide stove away from wall and unplug. Remove the center back plate on the rear of the stove, Open oven slide new element into rear of oven, snap into place. Return to rear of oven. slide wire connectors onto oven element prongs, replace center cover, make sure oven is turned off, plug stove back in and slide back into place. Open oven and turn on. allow element to heat up. Once the element has heated and the new burns off. Turn off the oven and replace the racks, This entire process took maybe 5 minutes.

it was hard to figure out the instructions from A switch to B switch to my switch. The first switch was no good the second one was good. prayer book didn't hurt.thank

The part was just like the old one and would have been an easy fix except our range suffered from a lighting hit. The clips had melted together. Called a dealer and asked about a new wiring harness. He said in those cases just cut the clip off and hard wire with wire clips,or firecrackers. We used wire nuts and taped all together and the oven works just great. Nothing is ever as easy as it should be.

Went on line and watched a couple of instr. videos which were very well done and explained just how to replace the end cap. I purchased and relaced both end caps and was able to clean the entire handle before putting it all together. Looks really good now. Thankyou. JJM

I unplugged th oven, for my safety. Removed 2 small bolt head screws, unplugged 2 wire connecters similar to car speakers connecters. Removed the element. Then took a few minutes to clean bottom of oven. It is so much easier with out the element. I plugged the wires onto new element, then i put the 2 small screws back in. Plugged in oven, pushed it back in place and turned on oven. It has been great! I think old element was unevenly heating. Baking has been noticable better. Ordered new parts. Received email with tracking number. Parts arrived as promised. Turned off power at breaker (!). Removed burners and pans. Lifted the lid of the range. Inspected the plugs and discovered one had come loose from bracket and was not in straight. Reset plug in bracket. While the lid was open, placed the drip bowl in opening and installed the burner and made sure the burner was laying properly in the drip bowl. Repeat for each. Perfect fit, If done properly, the small burners should lay down flat and not rock back and forth. I have seen complaints about rocking, and experienced some of it on one burner. Make sure the heating element is set in the plug well and it should work. A little patience may be required to get it just right. Everything lays flat and the stove looks new again. I have purchased from Part Select on other projects including a dryer rebuild and a new face plate for this range. Great products, reasonable prices, wonderful tutorial videos and good service.

(Turn off the Power) Pull stove out, remove the 2 screws that holds switch in place, remove one wire at a time and install on new switch. Slip switch in replace 2 screws. Snap off about 3/4 of the shaft cut down plastic insert for knob, install knob turn on power and it works.

unplugged old block from both sides, ran new wire and plugged new wire to both ends and presto it worked, thanks for making it easy to fix. Thanks- Michael J Dumas

Followed the video supplied with the email on the parts order form. Biggest problem was pulling the range out from the wall, the repairs went without a hitch. The PartsSelect video was a great help showing the short cut to getting the new wires in by using the old wires as a pull wire.

Removed old socket, I had replaced with a aftermarket that really did not work well. When I recieved the terminal block kit from your company it was the proper kit. Service was better than expected, part and price was great and it took very little time ti install. Thank you.

I disconnected the power to the stove and it was very simple, undid the nuts with socket wrench pulled element out and diconnected the wires.I put the new element back in the same way the old one was removed .I am a 70 year old woman.The great part was the element was shipped out vey quickly! great service

I pulled the range out, unplugged it, took the back off, unplugged the old terminal block and removed it. Attached the new block and ran the wires through to the back and plugged them in. Reattached the cover on the back of the range, plugged the range back in and pushed it back into place.

Remove center cover on back of stove exposing wiring. Unplug stove from 220v outlet. Unplug wires from old element.From inside stove, Remove 4,quarter inch screws holding back panel inside oven in place. Remove back panel from inside oven. Will be able to see the brackett on element and 2 screws holding the element/brackett in place, remove those 2 screws and remove old element. Reverse process to install new element.
