oven not up to temperature; shuts off before temp set
Took amp reading, which was 2.5 amps, that identified that the igniter needed to be replaced, for the safety valve requires 3.2 amps or better. Replaced, and everything is okay.

Igniter
No problem getting to igniter in oven to remove from holder. Difficult to disconnect igniter at rear after removing drawer. Just hard to get to. Broke one of the plug-in receivers so had to crimp on a new one. This was a hinged pair that received the igniter lead and another lead that went to another part.

Replacing old drip pans
Our very old GE gas stove looked good except for the drip pans. I ordered all four and they arrived the next day. The price for the pans was very reasonable, and of course, they were very easy to replace. My wife looked at the stove and said the stove looked new. I love those inexpensive jobs that result in a good looking finished project.

Oven Igniter DEAD
First wrote a wiring diagram then disconnected old igniter by removing two screws and unplugging.
Then just reversed the whole operation.
However, it never worked because the "oven/broiler" switch broke.
Its time for a new stove.
But I would recommend PartsSelect to anybody.
Your selection is great, you shipped as promised, and the best part was the price.

timer knobs missing
Just pushed the new timer knobs onto the stem. They fit and now I can set the oven timer without having to use a pair of pliers to grip the stem and turn it.
Two of the knobs fit perfectly.
The stem for the the clock was broken off and there was not enough of the stem left for the new knob to fit.

Stove igniters not sparking
The spark control module is located in the top section near the clock. Take off the back cover. Use needle nose pliers to disconnect the wires. The modules are marked with letters so connecting the new module is very easy. The range works great. My Kenmore is a 1985 model.

Gas electric ignition system stopped working
Replaced old ignition module with new module from parts select.
The most important tip was to label each lead before removing from old ignition module.

The switch for the stovetop fluorescent light failed.
It took only ten minutes to locate the correct replacement switch for my 20+ year old GE range on the PartSelect website, and only two days for it to arrive at my home. After removing the rear panel behind the control module, it became apparent that there were clips on each side that held the glass front panel in place. I removed the screws for each clip and the thumbscrews on the two front-mounted switches, and the glass panel came free easily. Wiring for the new switch was simple plug-and-play (4 leads), and reassembly was a snap. I was VERY careful with the glass front panel, which is NLA as a replacement part.

Only one and a half burners worked.
I just had to lift the top of the stove. Then pull the old burners out and put the new ones. It took longer to ignite the flame than replace the burner. Works great !!!

Over Thermostat Knob No Longer Operable
Went online to search the brand/part -- called the service phone number -- gave representative information for our 25-year-old gas range -- they located it in their database -- gave rep credit card to order -- received it very quickly -- wish all repairs were this easy.
